I don't think there's a person who would fear for their life if they were locked in a room with this guy--even if he had a gun with him. He certainly did bring the issue of corrupt health insurance companies screwing the public, to the front and center of the news.

Mmm, yep. It’s a net benefit then, you’d agree? What’s scary anymore that does not touch us on the tip our individual noses? Been denied any kind of healthcare under your insurance? Lately? It’s wildly educational. Now I’m thinking of long rifle hunters seeing a herd from a distance as they deftly fire and pick them off, many headless beasts, a few sniff the air, then return to grazing. “Heard from that side of the family lately?” All of the above wondering if Disnarvel worldverse is as nice as they say. None of them remarking much on their experience to each other. Insurance from, against, what? The tinny rumble? The sound of housed fed and employed people really saying “You’re killing me.” That’s kind of new.

This is different. Any person with even the slightest bit intelligence, will reference and argue with the shooting "incident", if they have a legit claim denied. The front-line insurance company reps will be shamed for doing their employer's unholy dirty work. They will feel more than complicit in allowing the deaths of patients who trusted them to provide life saving treatment. Other than the grossly overpaid upper level management, real changes will be happening very fast.

The front line reps won't be able to say or do anything that AI hasn't authorized.

Most of the world has communist military, roads, water, sewer, import/export administration, border management, some public lands, more, and yes, health care.

Private health insurance adds about 11-20% to the bill, while public health insurance - medicare adds 2%. On the doctor/hospital side there are additional costs added for all the billing complexity estimated at 5-10% or more. Health care in the US is about 18% of GDP, so while private health insurance has low profit as a percentage, the total US healthcare spending of about 4.5 billion a year is just too tempting for the private sector.

The ability of private interests to raise money for lobbying against public health insurance is essentially unlimited. United lobbies. Individual specialists can write million dollar checks.

You have to get the practitioners and hospitals united for a public system.

Hillary Clinton looked at it in the 80s, and concluded it was too hard because of entrenched economic forces.

Oddly, BRC itself does have some communist infrastructure and departments. But the bulk of BRC is small collectives, the camps and the art.

Utopia is a hard word to use in our cynical world and generations of dystopian literature and movies. So we have to find a different word for BRC. "Spreading the 10 Principles to the world" is not good branding. The BORG is getting better at describing what Burning Man is; Mangrum and the recent messages are getting better.
