Cheapest storage in Reno or around?

Post by InGearX » Sun May 11, 2025 3:23 am

Hi my dear burner family with somebody please be so kind to advise and point us to the cheapest storage facility that we could use ?

Essentially we would just need space to store two bikes

Prepaid for 12 months including taxes and fees

PS
From my experience, many places give you an amazing $10 a month deal, but that's a promo for the first two months. Then they raise it to $40 and then they can raise it to 50 plus their taxes and fees...

And if you want insurance that's traditional. But usually from my understanding these places don't get broken into... Although I guess depends what you find...

Thank you

I went through this 2 years ago, trying to find storage for camp. I called everyone in the Oakland/Berkley area and everyone will accept as much money as you want to give them but NO ONE will guarantee no increase, and they do increase the cost.
Looking a little deeper into this most storage places are owned by one company even though they do business under different names. I expect this will be the same in Reno. In short, storage places have you by the balls and are not afraid to squeeze.
Your best bet may be storing with another camps or in a Reno Burners garage.
Everyone is so politically fucked up that they're segregating themselves in the name of equal rights and liberation.

Hi, for storing just two bikes, I'd recommend checking out smaller, independent storage facilities around Reno or Sparks—they often have better long-term rates than the big chains. They may be open to negotiation if you’re paying 12 months upfront. Also, look into peer-to-peer storage platforms like Neighbor.com, where locals rent out garage space much cheaper than commercial units. Just be sure to ask about hidden fees, rate increases, and if you need insurance based on what you're storing. Hope you find a sweet, dust-free spot!
