The Fyre Festival is back!

For everyone complaining about BRC tickets, this one is 4 days for $1,400 to $1.1 million.

$1400 Ignite would be similar in concept to a regular BRC ticket and half the days.

https://www.today.com/popculture/fyre-f ... rcna193328

Hahaha:

“Ignite” ($1,400 per ticket): General admission includes access to the festival grounds and Water Stage, and transportation to and from designated hotels and other gathering points. Hotel accommodations are not included.

“Fuego” VIP ($5,000 per ticket): VIP access to festival grounds, front-row viewing of the Water Stage, and close-up access to the Fight Pit. Hotel accommodations are not included.

“Phoenix” ($25,000 per ticket): Includes luxury accommodations for two for three nights, backstage access to the Water Stage and Fight Pit, a curated itinerary of “Fyre Experiences,” weekend transportation, Fyre concierge access and private ground transport to and from Cancún airport.

“Prometheus” ($1.1 million package): A luxury package that includes complete onstage access, a curated itinerary, a 24/7 private chauffeur and the option of a private four-stateroom yacht or a four-bedroom villa near the festival grounds for three nights.

To be safe, being a DJ is working, and volunteering is working. Crossing the border, you are "on holiday" and coming to the US to "spend money" on consumer goods to support the US economy.

They arrested someone who was a tattooist carrying their tattoo gun because she was "coming to work here." No DJ controllers. Store everything in the cloud. No social media passwords, no touch or face ID. Luddite ways. Flip phone. Buy a phone & computer in the US, load then from the cloud, then wipe them and return them to the store for a refund.

Many burners criticize BRC and the organizers. I'm good with Burning Man.

Our principle of decommodification sets up apart from Coachella:

and sets us apart from Live Nation:

In the Live Nation video, you can see they are taking their high margin business profits, and plowing them into buying venues, which are a durable real estate investment.

I'm very unhappy Live Nation was subsidized by our local city government to build a new concert venue, which will destroy our handful of local promoters and even the business of our publicly owned concert halls.

Our over 1000 theme camps participate exactly because we are not Live Nation.

Try to keep up ….Clear Channel has been buying up sheds since the 90s and when I say a shed, that’s referring to an amphitheater that has a cover on it like the Shoreline amphitheater in the bay area. Not a building. As I remember there was about 25 or 30 sheds in the United States at the time and they ended up owning 95% of them. It’s been happening since the mid to late nineties. How do I know?…. I worked for Bill Graham presents and other production and event security companies at the time.
I did FOS security for Pearl Jam‘s fuck Ticketmaster show, Golden Gate Park and Sacramento.
I worked almost everything in Northern California.
I still have friends in the industry.
I think at least one works for Clear Channel.
It was fun in the beginning.
It became more of a job…. Not fun.
But I really don’t miss it now.
At the end I was being asked to carry a firearm. (permitted concealed carry).

So I stopped.

It just wasn’t fun anymore.
I’m surprised …by this time there’s anything left for them to buy.
They have been doing the long game.
Kind of like a boa constrictor.

See, when you plan to burn everything anyway you typically don't have this problem..........Unless some Jack Wagon decides to burn things early

I saw the news about Tomorrowland. Heartbreaking, though thankfully no injuries. Organizers are planning to rebuild, and are hoping for an only 2-hour delay to the start of performances on that stage.

Fyre Festival Sells Out

The Fyre Festival trademark was sold on eBay for $245,300.00 with 175 bids.

Festivals have been bought out by large companies.

Live Nation and Anschutz Entertainment Group are large owners.

Now notorious buyout group KKR is playing in the space.

Coachella in Indio, CA experiences dust and wind in opening days of 2026 festival

Coachella is a 2 weekend event with a daily attendance of about 125K. It is owned by AEG competitor to Live Nation.

Friday, April 10, a Martin motorized head spotlight fell from the overhead rigging on one or two fans. These weigh 81 pounds. Usually they would have a safety cable for backup protection from falling.

Coachella wind gusts were estimated in the 35mph range.

BRC gets higher, 2025 Saturday pre gate was measured at 50mph gusts and above 40 for half an hour.

Climate change is a bitch.

What Burning Man has to work harder on, commodifying the influencer lifestyle.

My suggestion, for a start, encourage all social media posting to after the event.

Coachella: The California music festival has become the “influencer Olympics.”

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/12/styl ... =url-share

Add, shall we see AEG acquire DoLab/LIB at a discount because of the accident? I camped in BRC with Dream Rockwell, the bros kicked her out, so no sympathy for AEG, Coachella, or DoLab.

Black Rock City has had problems with unwanted and illegal sexual advances and rape. From the outrage on ePlaya the culture has oriented towards consent and better response from the Rangers and LEO.

Black Rock City continues to have problems with DJs, artists, and influencers promoting themselves on playa to make money off playa. Commodification.

DJ Bassnectar did both. The underage rape charges have been settled.
