Fingernail protection?

I'm on a build crew and am on the playa for three weeks. My fingernails are worked hard, get brittle and crack. I've heard that fingernail polish really helps protect them. What is the best type for that?

I have short fingernails, I can't answer your question.

I foolishly did not trim toenails pre-burn and had some bloody toenails at the event. So trim your nails. I also found a nail and beauty camp to trim and file my fingernails on playa. They had all their scissors, tools, and supplies 24x7.

I would look at soaking and gloves sleeping, like we do moisturizer and socks for feet.
