Get yourself a Coleman Xtreme cooler - I filled mine with frozen 1.5L bottles before I left Reality Camp, topped that off with bags of ice, and one of the bottles was still half-frozen eight days later. We hit Arctica once the entire time I was there.

I had one Purple but used it as a place to chill beverages, while the jug of frozen water melted.

If I don't take the trailer I'd consider buying a propane powered cooler.

I don't know I like the trailer a lot.

for now I'll keep the financial goals High but work out scaled alternatives.

I think, as a returning volunteer, that I get access to cheaper tickets through my department head. And I'm STILL waiting to hear back from the sweetie who's going with me - with luck, he went ahead and got two tix, so I'm covered either way.

*dimpleblush* Thanks, Zule. I'm really just a paper-pusher, and prefer it that way...but the thought that people would miss me feels good. If that makes any sense. (I don't expect it to at this hour.)

*pokes head out from under infinite blanket*

Oh, hi! I got my CD today. :D I literally gasped when I saw you put "All Around My Hat" on there...my sweetie and Linda Underhill were lovers, and I have a very firm association of that being Her Song....

*walks in, stomps snow off......goes back out and grabs some wood for the hot tub....walks back in, more stomping the feet. Lights hot tub and grabs a hot chocolate and a candy cane for a twirler. Looks around and doesn't see anyone. Sips cocoa. Takes off shoes and socks, sits on the edge of pool to soak her cold feet.*

AAAAAHHHHHH! Nice!

Wait....do I see a lump under the blanket?
So the theme this year is like a giant camp out in the desert? With people bringing lots of shit from all over? uh.. -Marscrumbs

Please tell me he didn't then offer to share his drink with cute girls. I need to sleep tonight.

For what it's worth, Kristine, what I saw was two people in a lot of pain. Three chambered fishy heart goes out to both of you. This is not easy stuff. It never is.

Giggles, I don't know if he's a reader, but there's been some interesting stuff written by local (SF Bay Area) sex workers. You might try Carol Queen's Real Live Nude Girl--as I recall there are a couple of essays on the subject in there. And that's got to be available on Amazon even if your local bookstores wont carry it. And there's a movie about unionizing the LUsty Lady, one of our local strip clubs. And a book about hte club as well. Just a thought.
