Be Yourself Day: Saturday January 15th

On Saturday, January 15th only, change your avatar to that of your real face. Change it back the next day if you want to. Sound like fun?

Sounds kind of fun. I'm going to be out of town next weekend MJFM... but if I remember I'll change it before I go.

I'm always myself, well as much as I know who I am.
Do any of us really know who we are, don't our own psyches create an image of ourselves that’s warped by other influences like our aspirations, our history, our ideals. Things that make seeing who we really are impossible. Not to mention how ourselves might change by simply looking to see who we are.

Then there is the question of reality, I mean what really is real,...........

Anyway I'll have a picture of myself up but it might not be different than the one I'm using now.

Too right, Zulegoona. You just embraced this idea exactly as I hoped. The image we hold as "I" is what we post here with our conscious mind, but a camera does not lie... unless of course you have been using your photo editing softwear to warp it back to your own concept of yourself. Then again, what if you are mugging an insencere face for the camera? Don't even get me started on lighting and distortion.

For some of us, it will be like an inverted masquarade party. :D Should we harold our arrival with horns and fanfare on this thread?

Donita. I see two lovelies in that picture. Are you both of them? That's cool the way you posted you're image into the message, so it is here for good until you remove the web location it points to.

I'm going to crawl back into my shell after next Saturday. I only said that because you like shells.

T'was a fierce drag queen that got me to Burningman. Although he prefers "Gender Illusionist", I only play one, once in awhile.
