oh, and good morning.
i'm not joel either...but for you...? i could be...
Oooh Ooooh Oooh! We could have a Sockstatute Joel with the log in known to a dozen (or more) posters and we could take turns trying to be him. See who can be oneryiest.Rian Jackson wrote:morning. i'm thinking about being joel.. just for today.
So the tsunami was not a special circumstance? Just happens everyday?State Department spokesman Lou Fintor said the government chartered flights only in special circumstances, such as when commercial flights are unavailable or during emergency evacuations.
I've been wondering about that paperback. Does the embassy give them to all visitors in an attempt to boost the american publishing industry? I've been spinning some of the typically over the top fishy scenarios on that book.Landgraver said, however, that he had received a no-fee replacement passport from the U.S. Embassy five hours after applying for it, as well as a toothbrush and a crime-thriller paperback.
Humblest apologies, and I'll not use it per your request. Seems I was thinking of something I had wanted to share with you that day but couldn't find where I wanted to post it. *shrugs*Kristines wrote:Hey pretty please don't fucking use that nickname. It gets me steamed, and it's really not all that nice if you ask me.gigglesnort wrote:Hey, am I just confused, or is grinchie-pooh's thread missing?
And the post in question "the view from here" is in the Bar thread. Not missing.

don't worry, K, they call me 'cute' all the time. especially then they're hundreds of miles away so i can't kill them.
it's evil.
In light of what it reminds me of ... and the way it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up ... and in light of what my stomach feels like when I even think of that nickname ...gigglesnort wrote:I could see it being spiteful in context, but I surely didn't mean to be hateful.
Since you asked my opinion on this: I would appreciate never having to see or hear that name again. I guess I haven't been clear about what it does to me. It really makes me cry. Everytime. Even when it's in a joking manner. Maybe that's being "overly sensitive" or having an inability to laugh at myself. I am very sensitive, but I can poke fun at myself with impunity. This nickname has a hurtful genesis.gigglesnort wrote:In fact, if you don't think you want to use it, mebbe I could borrow it for myself, *especially* during the holidays or those certain moon days or those days I just don't get enough sleep or on whimsy, et cetera. The beau would concur that it's suitable, I'm sure.
