recycling old chapstick tubes
Hey all! As some of you may know, I make my own chapstick to gift to people. I have a request:
send me any and all empty chapstick containers!
I boil them out, and I can reuse them!
They're light, so postage is a snap... collect a few, and pm me for an address...
I'll adore you forever!
Thank you thank you thank you!

Hmmm, is there a such thing as thermophilic butt boil bacteria? If not, I will send you a SPECIAL lippy tube. Would it be possible to have that one filled and returned to me? That tube means a lot to me. It is a white tube with a cap that has a red lanyard through it. Someone tossed it to me on the playa one morning when I had very sunburned burned lips. The lippy is gone but I would like to keep the tube/lanyard as a reminder of someone's thoughtfulness.

I probably have some that's not used up but has been sitting around a while. (I don't actually use the stuff--it doesn't work for me--I'm a blistex fish--but the mrFishist does) I always seem to be finding half used tubes from the previous century. Worth sending on, or should I just throw them out? Or is this a question for--

I don't trust ANYBODY that can spell continuum. I trust people that USE the word even less. I think of it more as a dichotomy. There are those that classify things, and those that don't. And I want a jet pack so I can fly around the bar faster, and is this thing on? Booze Over Evil is what we should all remember as we open our latest copy of the BORG2 Bullhorn. Fuck you very much ... oh, and Natalie ... fuck you too.Cabanasprings wrote: First off - I didn't mean to offend

Dichotomy is a BIG word for a person of subnormal intelligence . And I suspect that very few people care whom you trust, what you think or what you want.geekster wrote:

Maybe you should try flying your jet pack into the wall. It might help your dichotomy.

No offense GE, but I would not want to use a previously owned tube unless it had been more then boiled. Are you using an autoclave or bleach? Also, it would be a good idea to inform your gift recipients where the tubes came from. Yes I know I sound like a wet blanket, but there are nasty things that simple boiling will not kill.

I figured that, if it worked to sterilize mom's canning jars and lids, it'd work for my chappie tubes. no worries. all is well.

You know, GE you can buy those puppies empty at craft stores. they also usually have the little round lidded tins, too. You can get them cheap here, too. Probably not telling you anything you don't know, though.
