webbery, your site sparked quite a debate
webbery, your site sparked quite the debate on the dioxine mail list. for the past few days. (about a week)
i think your site is awsome especially the "© 1998-2003 Patrick Roddie - all rights reserved " legaleaze link at the bottom of the pages. that's just too funny. nice cleanly done site.
beyond pro.
just my opinion.

also, the night i got to brc, that'd be thursday, my friend eric and i had pictures taken of us in front of the billboard signs, making a toast to my quote:
"the light shining forth from my vagina will heal us all"
I don't have a pic of this but I wanted to let you know that it worked, since I was on the playa by then. I feel very healed, esp in the presence of vagina, since burning man, so thank you!
now a being a light,
Matt

Critical Stilts and the photo guy
I have a few photo requests- I've looked at a lot of the galleries but there are so many!
1. Critical Stilts- I KNOW a ton of people took pictures of the large group of stilit walkers Thursday evening- we walked around center camp and then to the man. Anybody seen these pictures or have some of their own?
2. Anyone know the name/website of the guy who had a tent near center camp and was taking pictures? He was right near the pancake playhouse and he was taking polaroids as well as digitals that he said would be online. There was a gallery right outside the tent with big color pictures from last year.
Any ideas or links would be most thoroughly appreciated, savored, and possibly licked.

Hmmm...apparently there were lotsa people taking pictures...
Thanks, guys, but it wasn't either of them. Let me see if I can be more descriptive...
He was around 9:00 on the center camp inner circle, and he was set up for portraits- the whole white dropcloth thing. he had a little square tent type thing and there was often a little crowd outside looking at the pictures. the only photos he had outside were large color portraits from last year on a square display thing. he was an older guy and he was mostly taking polaroids...
ring any bells?
I know you are, cuz so am I

Here are my pics from this year. We arrived early and painted the back of the cafe wall. It was my first year with a digital camera, and I found I took more pictures than i have in the past, though I still missed a lot of stuff, but thats how it is every year. Most years I don't take any pictures...

picture request
My husband was dressed as a Catholic Cardinal with a blow up doll dressed as a boy in a soccer uniform strapped to his waist. It had a sign around it's neck that said Beyond Belief. He was photographed by quite a few people walking through center camp on Friday right about when the lamplighters were going out at dusk. He was also photographed at the Church of Stop Shopping that night. Our pictures didn't come out, if anyone has any of him we would love to see them.

Nice pics!
Nice to see some pics of my art...I painted the back of the cafe with a crew of friends...I did 4 of the canvases, the two knotwork ones were my friend elizabeth (you got a picture of the blue one)We painted all the panels out there with a stencil I made. I have some friends who live out in W-Burg...My friend erika runs a little shop out there, and my friend Luz has a music production company called crystal top. Cheers!

Those are my pal Patricia's pics. When I saw the pic of that geometric design you made I was really impressed. Ah that color Electric blue! And the design is gorgeous, in fact I think I looked at your pics over the weekend and saw the whole lot that you made. Very NICE.
What little shop does your friend Erika run? Out of curiousity?

Photographer & Volunteer guy who worked on building BM
Looking for the fellow and his girlfriend (wife?) who camped across the street from our theme camp TECHNOFARTZ at 9:30 on Authority between Real and Profane. On the night of the burn you kindly donated many many clothes from your fabulous collection (which you were disposing of) to members of our camp, then took our pictures. I have searched high and low, and cannot find you anywhere on the boards, and am sooo looking forward to your photo's.
This will be the only chance I ever get to see my cousin in drag - puleeeeeeeeeeeze let me know if you got the pictures developed and online!

Playa Buddha's pics....
Here's my pics, finally. I know the setup looks a little weird, but I can't seem to make the frames work, so it's just a line of thumbnails that will come up in a separate window or tab if you use Netscape or Mozilla.

Some giant panoramas are up
I have put up 4 of my giant panoramas, like you saw on the Playa. They will also be at the decompression. The new largest one will be 32 feet long and 2.5 feet high and look photo sharp even fairly close.
See them at small web size at:
http://www.templetons.com/brad/pano/bman03.html
And the regular photos are also there at

Kinetic II
I've seen lots of great BM pix but the panoramas are special. I've tried explaining over and over to people about what BM's like, how big it is, how LNT works, and some of it was understood, some didn't get it. Then I had them go online and look at the panorama and as I explained it, they got it. Christian was like holy cow, now I understand. After seeing all those camps he understood LNT. He got the part about why only art cars are allowed and why bikes are not critical but still important if you want to see most of BRC. And he even noticed the dust clouds in the first shot.
Thank You for posting that pic and saving me lots of explaining. The one bad thing about it? It makes me homesick for the playa and BRC!
