OK, so it's not really an annoyance. It's really just - well, cute.

The tower i work in is connected to a downtown mall thingy. There are shops in this mall. I wouldn't really know it because i walk through the mall, rarely stopping at destinations between outside and work. For me it's a warmer way to traverse a block.

One of our engineers has sent two - not one, but TWO emails this morning to tell us female types of various sales in the mall. It's strange, and cute, and quaint. The first one made sense.. i guess it's a women's clothing store that's having a sale. The second one, though, is a kids' clothing store. He still send it only to the women. Interesting.

This is not an older man. This is an uber christian young man.

There's something almost sweet, but oh so odd about people here. That's why i just look at them funny and laugh.

i don't know about cool.
i think odd sums it up.
then again, i'm not a shopping type - so unless it's a screaming sale at metro or achie mcphees or something, there's a good chance i don't give a shit.

thank god, i thought you really meant that it was 'cool'... i was beginning to rethink my crush. phew! maybe 'quaint' is the best word. i however, am not quaint (except maybe when i'm quilting...)

damnit, those mountains out there keep beconing to me. all they say is 'climb me, climb me!' five days a week.

tortuous.

another random tidbit. this morning i met some dude who's in collections. he told me they have to have aliases to protect themselves from the people they are collecting on.

shite!

now that is scary, on many levels...

Damn, I'm trying to remember the name of the mountain I hiked on when I last visited my parents. They can see Mt St. Helens and Mt. Hood from their house but, I travelled north east to a mountain that basically is a state park. So, that would be north of St. Helens, ummm, grrrrrrr, can't remember the name of it...

Ranier is Seattle's mountain right?

MT Adams is gorgeous. I played a festival last summer right at the base of it. I got to spin in the afternoon just staring at the mountain and feeling its enorminty there. The rumors are that Mt Adams is supposed to be home to a race of aliens. I have not read much more but there are a lot more than a few who believe this.

Customers screaming at me that they have to wait 2 days for their child's tv to get fixed. Often they have 4 more tv's in the house.

Like, Oh My GAWD!

I've actually had mothers ask me what they are to do with their child now that the tv's down for two whole days.

Boy howdy, it's hard to keep my mouth shut on these occasions.

8 boxes of one environmental documetns delivered.
2 copies of everything.
5 volumes of the document. 11 volumes of responces to comments on the earlier document. 1 volume of appendices and I don't know what's in boxes 7 and 8 (or 4.1 and 4.2) yet.

I have no place for these things. Even opening the boxes is giving me cts.

Poof.

Sure they can read. The thought that went through their heads, though, was "surely they don't mean ME, they must mean kids or some slob who would spill their mocha/popcorn/hotdog/etc. There is a set of people on this planet that don't think all of the rules apply to them.

Try removing the "please".

The crowd was thin all weekend. The property was huge and there were more camps than people that could fill them. Here is a pic from where I was spinning.

GREAT FUCKING PICTURE, JASON!!! Yeah... that's the ticket... I could spend a lot of time there...

I have finally come to the conclusion that 'work' is a stupid work annoyance...

I ended up spinning for well over 4 hours playing my deepest house cuts I have in my collection. It felt so nice like the mountain was smiling in approval. That was definitely not a work annoyance. But my work annoyance now is my need to leave and go home and play records with images of the mountains in my head.
