rum
On the rocks, ma’am, asssuming it's good rum. Life's too short to drink cheap booze, ya' know. No need in wasting fine spirits on a quick “down the hatch” for me. Sipping and savoring, if you please. But by all means, do as you prefer.

Heh, Heh...

It was my post-breakup retail therapy in November, and it didn't leave my CD player for two weeks.... I made the last chorus of "What Happens Tomorrow" into a userpic for my LJ, because it was SUCH a lifeline for me.

And I'm going to see them in March! *bounce*

Ms. Purple mentioned the new DD cd some time back, but I live under a rock, so I've not had the good fortune.

Windows Media or WinAmp are very compatible. I can't tell you much after that. What sort of problems is Real Player giving you it might be on my end.

Much obliged, Ms. Snort.

Gotta say, I didn’t know DD had a new Cd out. I’ve been lost in a world without TV or pop radio for some years now. Though I suspect that Duran Duran has not made it back onto the pop stations lately.

Oh, Oh... and how ‘bout Power Station? God rest Robert Palmer’s soul...

And where is “Level 42" these days anyway?

Oh, sandwichman...

I just can’t get your audio...

So it goes with my antique dial-up connection. (Please see description of what it takes to post anything here:)

Vinyl, you say?

I'm slowly getting a vinyl addiction.

You'd be surprised, then - the first single was also on the "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" soundtrack, and has been getting a fair amount of airplay. The new album is their first with the original lineup in over twenty years.

(I'm not obsessed - I'm focused....)

.......sad to say my vinyl collection is limited to all things duran duran (I lived a sheltered life back in the day). Oh but how I loved john taylor, with his lovely feathered mullet and hint of smudged eyeliner. *swoon*

My bangs gain three inches at the mere thought.

Streaming on dial-up is difficult. I hope you at least enjoyed what you heard. My son and I are both boogying down over here.

As for vinyl, I am a complete junkie and thoroughly hooked on the black crack.

Focused....yeah.... I was so focused back in the day, with a handwritten dossier on each band member, a shrine of Tiger Beat et al posters covering two walls, and every album ever recorded.....such a deep sadness that I never saw them live. Sixth grade and thereabouts, that would be.

I think Andy Taylor was the Bass player, yes?

I’ve popped many a lick of his on the old Ibanez.

Oh, Jesus... I thought I’d blocked out all of the 80's and then you people start talkin’. 6th grade, huh? yeah... I 've got a couple of years on you. I bought my first 45 in 6th grade... Hall and Oats... Private Eyes... 45 cents at a school fund raiser... I've still got it.

Oh, and Sandwichman, don't worry about me and tunes...

I've got plenty of tunage crankin' out here. My life revolves around music.

No worries. I do this every so often and maybe next time you will want to listen and maybe not.

Hungry like a wolf was getting a lot of airplay when my girlfriend went to Bogotá to teach English as a second language. we carried on a long distant relationship for a few months, but she was hungry like a wolf hunting more exotic game,.. I don't have any particular affection for a lot of early 80s pop.
