I dunno if it is about iaddiction, but I know they were doing coke by the boat load while recording that album... and he was also doing the film 'that man who fell to earth' about that time, which was an obviously drug influenced flick. Talk about a skinny freak.

Side one of the album was my favorite to listen to (Sound and Vision and Always Crashing in the Same Car, etc.) but side 2 was like some kind of a space voyage I didn't get until years later when I, uh, well, I just got it then!

Station to Station is probably my favorite Bowie album of all... and then Scary Monsters.

It was the only Japan album I actually ever got into... Although Silvian did some stuff with Midge Ure (from the second incantation of Ultravox) I got into and I believe I still own a couple of 12"s of.

I bought still life in mobile homes back in the 80s on vinyl... I do not have it on CD.

Nearly every Sylvian solo album (under his name) is a masterwork. If you liked Japan try Rain Tree Crow. It's kind of a reunion album. Super lovely.

Anyone here know De-Phazz?

Almost forgot to mention this is on DVD as well. The DVD left my jaw on the ground watching how he put this all together live. Amazing and in my mind at least what true hip hop is.

a collection of musicians from around the globe centered around one German dude. Ultra funky lounge with incredibly tight playing and production, wonderful writing and clever lyrics. I think they have a track on the 1st verve remixed album.

best album of theirs woul have to be death by chocolate.
