Seeking unique "water socks" I saw at BM 2003
I saw a woman at Astral Headwash wearing a pair of "water socks" (I assume that's the correct term for them) that I really liked. They were ankle-high, form-fitting, and made of what looked like black rubber or silicone. Also, they were divided, with one section for the big toe, and one section for the rest.
I never could find this lady to ask where she got them, nor could I find anyone else wearing the same thing. If anyone knows the proper name for these shoes, and where to find them, please get in touch with me at [email protected].

Surf Booties?
Were they something that looked along the lines of this?
If so, you're talking about surf booties. You can find them at any surf shop. Or if you're land locked, try online, there's plenty of online sports stores that carry surf gear.
That reminds me, I so need a new pair, and a new winter suit too.

Thanks for your email, Jamison
Unfortunately, none of the items you linked me to are what I'm seeking. I appreciate you taking the time to look them up, though :)
I guess I should have been a bit more descriptive. The shoes were not neoprene, and had no buckles, straps, or decorations of any kind on them. They gave the appearance of the feet having been dipped into black rubber or silicone and allowed to dry. From what I could see, they contained no filling or padding of any kind. I guess another way of putting it is, they made the feet look like black duck feet, only with a divided section for the big toe. Does this help any?

hey tater chip grrrrl...
that was me you saw!!! ahhhh... the astral head wash... mmmmm... bless those head washers! i will definitely go back there! sorry to tell you, but i acquired those shoes the day before heading Home- in Lake Tahoe from an op shop. They were, i have to say, a very good purchase. It felt like wearing no shoes- which got a bit ouchy when stepping on stones or things! Hope you find a pair to call your own!
