Agreed! I failed to properly register, and hence cannot vote. But, the Admin folks behind the voting have already sent a volley of messages my way trying to help me out - a fantastic resonse! Ultimately it came to nought, but it impressed the hell out of me!Tancorix wrote:One very good thing about the elections: The voting system was very easy to use. Whomever picked that company / system to use made a fine choice.
BORG1 could learn from BORG2 in that respect, at the very least...
the voting
thank you for that dragonfly. many people have worked very hard on teh tech, voting logistics, privacy vs verification, admin response, and policies for how to consistently deal with the ambiguities that were sure to arise in the voting.
i don't know what happened in your case, as i was asleep all day with the flu, but glad you found the response reasonable. we have been trying really hard to make this clean and beyond reproach. it is critical that the resullts are seen as real and the process is one that might suggest uses for certain aspects of general bman decision making.
it is an experiment that hopefully proves to be a demonstration project for how this could actually work on a larger scale.
the responses on all fronts have been extremely positive. people seem to like to participate in deciding the future of their burning man destiny.
sorry whatever happened prevented you from voting. but there will be others later this year i'm sure, but the art council will now decide that.
