Any Queen fans about?
Hey. So hubby and I got invited to a costume party. To come as our favorite musical artist. And I chose to do Freddie Mercury. Do any of you have any good ideas for his "Look" for me?
I was thinking just a white wife beater t-shirt and tight jeans (w/ or w/o the buldge)and one of those black biker hats. But does that really say Freddie?
So any help would be welcome.

I was thinking of trying to make one of those body suits. But i kinda need it to cover up the boobage. ANd i dont have any chest hair to speak of.
Hmm i wonder if there is a way to make that same kinda outfit.. but still cover the boobs. Ivy any ideas how to do that?
Then again.. i think i kinda like 80's- 90's freddies look better. But those body suits were so amazing. The black and white one that he wore. WOO!

My first thought would just be to put a flesh colored panel across the front. You can find a great fabric, I forget what they call it, but it's flesh colored (yes, it comes in several different "flesh" tones) lycra-type fabric online at some belly dance retailer sites...it's generally used over/around the belly for people that don't like to "expose" thiers. It's a little on the pricey side if I remember correctly.
Will try to do a web search in a few minutes to get some links...gotta take a phone call.

Well, the search engines aren't giving me the results I'm looking for (damn there's a lot of belly dance porn out there), but I'm pretty sure I've got some links bookmarked at home. but really, almost any flesh colored fabric would work.
I've got a serger, too. A bitch to rethread but man, that thing fucking rocks. I'd never get all the costumes for the theatre group done otherwise.

i'm 5"6'. thanks for the heads up.
and hell, yes, i want to wear that dress. i'll need something appropriate for my torch song review. ella fitzgerald, eat your heart out!!!
no disrepect intended, ella. you'll always be my girl.
as for the pot belly i have two thing to say to you. the first is pilates. the second is, when's your birthday and would you like a dark garden waist cincher for x-mas? we can get you down to a 28 inch waist easy as pie.
mmmm. pie.
that's the great thing about foundation undergarments like corsets and waist cinchers - eat all the pie you want. nothin a little whalebone can't fix.
plus which, they are too sexy for your cat, what you think about that. i'm too sexy for e-playa, too sexy for my own good, too sexy to care either way.

If only the supermodels went nude at BM very few of us would have that liberating experience. Besides, those waifs would dry up and blow away on the playa -- you're beautiful!RebA! wrote:did you read the measurements I have? Sccccaaaaaaaaaaary! I am trying pilates.. at this point its still quite hard for me to do. But I keep working on it. That and my walking.
Birthday is august 5th. My goal is to be a size 10 for burning man next year or 140 pounds which ever comes first. Just 28 pounds and 4 sizes to go. Ya know.. this year i was the thinnest I ever went to burning man and still have yet to get past the fear of going naked. Anyway.. back to the queen thing. Not RebA's diet shit.
