um, what's a fantod?

i suggested to this friend of mine that we go to a fireworks show and freak out together. he declined.

it's funny how, for both of us, the conflicts look different knowing that with a slight tweak of fate, we'd be on opposite sides of the same battles. i wish everyone had someone on the other side. it sure helps to keep seeing humans under masks or helmets.

Dunno' what a fantod is (got that from Mark Twain in Roughing It), but it has something to do with loose bowels... PM me for more details...

I knew, when I was in S.E. Asia that the guys on 'the other side' were just like me and probably didn't want to be there anymore than I did, and that if were given enough time, we could be friends... of course, when you're shooting at each other it's tough to make friends...

War and repression are power games played by those that want to keep the little guys apart (read any history book and it becomes evident). Fear, separation, paranoia, these are all tools used by those trying to gain power. Assholes...

It shows up once near the end of Huckleberry Finn- haven't we been through this, Samtzu? (My ex and her father used to use this expression- seems to be a combination of "fantasy" and "odds-and-ends"- kind of like being assaulted by multiple ghosts.)

I did The Pirates of Penzance one time, and the pirates did an entrance off of the balcony of the theatre.... they wouldn't let us swing in on ropes, though, we had to climb down the phony riggin'... but we got to stand on the railing and wave cutlasses...
