So the theme this year is like a giant camp out in the desert? With people bringing lots of shit from all over? uh.. -Marscrumbs

Yeah, but it wasn't cheap. Probably because I'm not staying over a weekend. Good thing work pays for these trips. If I could just get them to pay for a flight to Reno in late august...

nevermind.

[unburies herself from the neverending blanket, heads to bar, pours a mug full of whiskey, adds a couple drops of water to release the essence, pads back over to the blanket, sets down her drink, puts a couple more logs on the fire, and cozies back up under the NEB]

Cute dog. Funny, amid all the action in here I don't recall ever seeing a dog before.

Just a note. There is no guarentee that simply because San Jose and San Francisco are in California that there will actually be sunshine on any given week in February. Could be foggy, rainy dismal weather that will look lightweight to those of you from snow areas, but is still not the tropical vacation you're fantasizing about. Temps are likely in the 50s and low 60s, a big change from a Minneapolis windchill, but hardly bikini weather. Plus, the beaches are dangerous full of cold water and riptides. (wait, that doesn't track. Oh well.)
I love the bay area and there's great stuff to do here all year, but for all the guff we take about having no seasons, it isn't a sunny paradise.

You'll be down here? Will there be a possibility of a GE sighting or is this a secretive mission?
