(Black cat strolls in through the fireplace)

I do so love getting here that way. I hope you don't mind me using it every now and then Blue. I promise I won't abuse it.

So, how’s things this evening, all?

Honey, that damn cat's been playing in the fireplace again! It's your turn to give it a bath!

Bath the cat?

What?

Hey blue and Z...

FYI, I'm planning a trip up to the twin cities in May or June, I think. I’ve got a burner amiga who went with us last year who lives there. She just left for Europe today, but when she gets back, I’m planning a road trip up... she lives in Hudson and is going again this year. You guys should hook up. I'll keep you posted

And speaking of winter stuff, there’s a rumor... and this is just a rumor I heard in passing... that there might, I say might be a party on a frozen lake up there somewhere nearby. Now I don’t know if it is this year, and I don’t know if it is next year, but I just heard a word or two in passing. Sometimes things never materialize, but should it materialize... yall will be the first to know. I’ve got more that one Minnisoter connection when it comes to Burning and will keep my ear to the ground for you.

a good rubbin' eh, giggles? I'm game. I'm a cat, I'm always game for that. Will you feed me ice cream?

Thanks,
me too Blue, I really how we came get some stuff really going,..

I hope we can build the community into something, I'm a little afraid that we won't build to a critical mass before we try to pull something to big off.

Ain't that the truth. I find it to be one of the greatest experiences to meet people in person you have met online.

Z, we need to just try small things first and then play it by ear. Don't worry too much. Take things as they come. It sounds like some people are more interested in doing things than in previous years around here.

That's what I was thinking. She's super cool and is the type of person who can really be a catalyst and get things done. I only hang out with cool people (that's why I'm here, right?) and she's no exception. What little I've interacted with you here, I'm sure you and Z will fall right in with her. She needs to be in touch with other minds like hers up there.

I'll keep ya posted and we can have a little compression event of our own there. Sound good to you Z?

I think so too, and the little gathering Transhippy, set up in October was fun even if it was only7 of us and two of them were a couple of my maybe interested friends, but it was a little sad we couldn't even get a good drum circle going.

Brother... there'll be a drum circle if you want it, even if I'm the only one playing. I'll keep that back beat going and you all can just jump in and out all you want.

(oh, oh.. could you scratch a little more to the left, there gigs)

well, we'll start out small and as long as we can do things regularlly or annually I'm sure more people will become interested. There just needs to be something more solid, instead of just the brainstorming sessions. I'm sure some people would rather attend an event than help plan it.

Oh, and LeChat our little local group has been talking about an event in May. Maybe you could come up for that. If your friend is interested in getting involved or even just listening in on what's going on up here. Please point her to here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/burningman-tc/

Lessons are good... they teach you the meaning behind the beats you make. But the rhythm... it’s inside you, dear. Your heart’s beatin’ ain’t it? Just get that thing out and play with it... get to know it. Don't put it down for a month or so. To quote Mickey Hart, “Hit something once, you’ve got noise, hit something twice you’ve got rhythm.”

Blue and Z... she’s super energy... and she wants to get involved bad. ‘04 really jazzed her up and she needs an outlet for it. She’s a hell of an artist and can organize thoughts well... she get’s things done, no kidding. You’ll see. Good energy. And keep me posted about that event.

Blue, I just emailed that link to her. As I said, she's heading over the pond as we speak, but she'll be checking email often.

I just realized that I've not had anything to drink yet... Giggles? any of the good dark beer left?
