Yours for hte taking, my lady; no stealing necessary! *smooch*PurpleKoosh wrote:*steals some avocado slices*gigglesnort wrote:I'm making dinner too, if anyone is hungry: garden burgers with sliced avocados on seeded rolls.
I am absolutely dying for a good salad...difficult with the state of the tomato industry, but I'll find something that doesn't look like a pink bicycle tire when I slice into it....

(Black cat walks in and thought he heard heli ask him what he wanted to drink, but looked around to find that he was actually in the hot tub, along with many others, and had been talking in his sleep. He looks in over the edge and makes sure that they all have their heads above water)
Man alive... that heli sure can snore like hell.
(heads across the room and begins rummaging around behind bar looking for a beer)
I thought giggles had one stashed for me here somewhere...
(Bottles clink, only a tail is seen sticking over the bar top, weaving back and forth.)
Aha!! One dark brew...
( he hops up on the bar and proceeds to sip his beer and ponder about everything and nothing at all. About what life might be like if the felines had stayed in power... had not been overthrown so long ago in the great Homosapien uprising in Giza, and about how quiet the bar can get at times... how empty it can be... and yet how it's never really lonely.)
Hmmm.... all in all, the digs ain’t bad. Could have been worse... they could have shaved me while I slept.
(drifts off into deep thoughts with the only noise being the soft the rain-like sound of foam fizzing in the hot tub and the percussive rhapsody of heli sawing logs.)

Hey no time to catch up right now. Going to be a busy weekend. I just wanted to leave the link to my new mix for those of you in need of music tonight. I will be in intermittently as my modem decides to work.

Great stuff Jason. Although I only had time to listen for about 12 minutes right now. I'll definitely revisit it tomorrow. =)Sandwichman wrote:Hey no time to catch up right now. (M crawls out from under the NEB, she feels a bit better after a good nights rest. Stretches and then sets a pot of BHA's Kona coffee on to brew. Then heads out the door to start a new day)
So the theme this year is like a giant camp out in the desert? With people bringing lots of shit from all over? uh.. -Marscrumbs

(The cat is suddenly shaken from his deep funk by a rumble, and realizes that he has been in a trance state for quite some time and that it is well into the next day)
Wow... looks like giggles skated through at some point. And tony left a note for me too... hmmm... “What’s the word?” Ummm... tuna?
(Noticing that heli and the gang are still in the hot tub, and although they’re a bit shriveled, all heads are still above water so he leaves them be. He grabs a mug of the fresh Kona that some beautiful soul thought to brew, and heads to his shop.)

I swear I am going to take my modem and drop it off a tall building. It is only working intermittently and it sucks. It will show all modem lights working then out of nowhere it will lose its connectivity. The signal is there and strong the modem just decides not to use it. I guess this belongs in the fuck thread but I really want a drink.

It seems to me though, that the way folks usually hurt those involved in their personal drama, when being overly honest here on the eplaya, is when the person being talked about is also on the eplaya, or is at least aware of its existence.
I also admit that I can be a sneaky little fucker and that I'm used to covering my tracks.
The problem isn't that you might get caught, it's that you wrote something hurtful and judgmental and are afraid it might bite your ass.
The problem is not that people got "too honest," but that you're a sneaky little fucker. And you're PROUD? of this?
The problem isn't that the other person is aware or unaware of eplaya but that you think it is ok to say rotten things behind peoples' backs.
Karma alone will bite you in the ass. And let me tell you, it doesn't make a man appear all that attractive when he bitches about some ex. Um, exactly the opposite, actually.

You're absolutely right, Kristines. In a moment of inebriation, I said something mean and hurtful; I've acknowledged this and I regret it. I referred to this as being "overly honest" as in, "I may have been thinking it, but I should never have actually said it." I'm sure that every single one of us has, at one point or another in their life, said something that they later regret.Kristines wrote:My observation -- from here, just my opinion, yada yada.RingO'Fire wrote:OK, I get it. Also, I'm not "PROUD" of being a "sneaky little fucker", as I said, "I can be" one...as this is only a...hmm...I guess "rarely utilized" will do...aspect of my personality. This was, once again, probably a poor choice of words on my part. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and minor character defects, myself included. You're painting me with too broad of a brush. What I was trying to say is, that even though, yes, I said something mean and hurtful, it's unlikely that the person I was speaking of will actually be hurt by the hurtful things I said.
No, I do not think it's ok to say rotten things about people behind their backs. I did, but it's not a habit of mine. Once again, we've all said things in our lives that we later regret. Also, I'm well aware of the power of karma, thank you.
Additionally, for the record, I wasn't bitching about my ex-. I was bitching about the woman I've been seeing for a couple of weeks now (who is actually very sweet and kind), whilst pining over what I had lost when I split up with my ex-.
Finally, I'm not going to do it again, nor am I going to explain my actions again. I've acknowleged my mistake and am going on. As far as I am concerned, the matter is settled; I won't be discussing it any more.
...but it seemed like such a good idea at the time...
