My BIG CLIMB!

Post by RebA! » Sun Jan 30, 2005 11:09 am

Not sure if anyone has noticed my new signature. For the next month and half I will be training for my biggest climb ever. That climb involves 69 flights of stairs or 1311 steps. With a 788 feet vertical elevation climb.

I'm doing Seattles Big Climb for Leukemia. And I'm looking for support, Good thoughts, healthy legs, anything.

http://www.active.com/donations/fundrai ... ey=RWehmey

Its Seattles tallest sky scraper. I have done a few races in the past... but this has been the only one that I felt strongly enough about to do some real legwork to get a cause some more help that they need.

So over the next few weeks I will keep this thread updated with my training progress on this Big Climb.

Image

Everything helps. Even if you just want to send me a smile or some positive healthy feet and leg energy. I know I can count on your support.

Great. Now I feel very petty for bitching about having to park on the sixth floor of the parking garage.

You could bounce a quarter off my ass and hit the ceiling fan. Well, maybe not but it would be cool and drive the cat crazy.

Just wanted to do a quick update.

I am now 42% towards my personal fundraising goal. With great thanks to some of the folks here.
Training is going well.

Let me just say that the stair master is tough when you do it "right".

And as before I'm still looking for more donations.

This thread dropped off to page 2 in record time; I thought it needed a timely bump.

Can we make donations right up until Mar. 20th, RebA!? I'm broke as hell right now but might want to drop something in the pot when my account balance is a positive number.

Reba sounds like she's doing a great thing. I would chip in but I'm broke for awhile.

from what I read though, there still seems to be time to donate.

Maybe I'll get lucky....er....with sending some money.
