Some of us got together last year and had a flarkin' blast. If you're an improviser and you're interested in connecting with some folks from Chicago, send me an e-mail. [email protected] Two threads from last year.

Topics of interest for 2005:
-How will this year’s theme, Psyche: the Conscious, the Subconscious and the Unconscious play into a form? Three chapters of longform based on these three levels of the psyche would be fun. We could take burners' dreams or stories of their day and play out what their dream will be that evening—improvisers might be familiar with this game/form.
-What stages have you heard about? Groups of comedians or performers looking for acts? Anyone have a good way to amplify improv on stage, or a venue where noise competition isn’t an issue? Performance spaces in acousticktown or whatever those hippies are calling themselves this year? Other ways besides on a stage that we can bring improv to BRC?
-Are you interested in running a workshop for burners who have never tried improv but would like to? Do you have teaching experience? How could this work?
-Do you know other improvisers or whole camps of people who would like to be in the loop on all this? Is there a bigger loop? Are loops really all that healthy?
Here’s a thread from a Chicago-based improv chat board. Drop a note about what you’d like to see from improv at Burning Man 2005 and what you plan to do about it.
