I agree with you there, but sometimes a large amount of people will have a certain definition of a word that may not be right, and I always wonder where they learned that definition. Or why the associate the wrong thingRanger Genius wrote:But facts are not subjective. You thinking a word means something else does not change what it means.

Ahhh... (in whiny kid voice) But then we won’t reach 1600 tonight.
And I’m pondering stuff for that thread. I think it will grow slowly and then quicker as the time draws near. I'll keep it bump up, don't worry.
And yeah... post those so we can dissect them.

Aha!!.. so you’re back.
Please assist me, if you will, in wrapping my mind around this concept. I have no idea why, but when I think about what these words mean (and their collective term: psyche), it’s almost as if I view them through a fog, when related to BM’05... even though I have a good grasp for them individually.
Thoughts?

Ok...
(fetching pitcher and refilling blue's glass, and pulling off a glass of cheapo-vino for himself and purple)
Conscious: Having an awareness of one's environment and one's own existence, sensations, and thoughts
Subconscious: The part of the mind below the level of conscious perception
So perhaps the unconscious, the way I perceive it, is the state in which the conscious and the subconscious overlap and work things out. With that thought, perhaps we can view the event as a state of lucid dreaming (a state of coherent unconscious?), a state where the things that lay down deep can be brought forth and manifest in front of us. This seems to be on the right track to me, since it was very much like that for me last year.

This is all according to my admittedly fairly limited understanding, but what I get is that the subconscious is sort of the interface between the conscious and the unconscious. Your unconscious is things that happen in your mind of which you are completely unaware. Your consciousness is the things that you are aware of and deliberately doing. Your subconscious is the things that you're not normally aware of, but can sometimes be. Your unconscious shapes both of them.
