Your ride to Burning Man is John --!!---. He is having a BM get together with a guy from Memphis that goes and wants to meet everyone in LR that goes. It will happen in the next few weeks. So just hang in there.

As far as Lakota man, I will be filming him talking for an hour this weekend about legends of his tribe. You are welcome to come over but I couldn't have the kids because we will be filming. I haven't set the day or time, just waiting to see what the weather does. Hopefully, it will be as beautiful as the last few days.

Hang in there. The fun never stops in Little Rock. Dot

Nice giggles, this seams to be playing out nicely for you. Hell Yeah!

My own: been riding through some slight knee tendinitis for the last couple of months. just returned from a ride and, based on the level of pain from the last couple of rides, it seems to be receding.

hell yeah.

I've been through so much drama this month that i didn't shift money around in ye olde bank accounts soon enough. I was about to pay off a bill and realised it's due - in NV - TODAY.

I called them this morning to ask if there's a grace period. They said, 'no, but since you always pay on time i can extend your due date by five days.'

It's in the 11:30 mail pick up from the post office.

Hell Fuckin' Yeah!
i always feel so much better once the bills are in the mail....

Oh, and even bigger hell yeah - I talked to Wayne, our enormous tough guy ex-cop apartment manager last night. He sat the drug dealers down last week - one was exactly two floors above me, the other was down the hall - and told them that they're so obvious they'll get nabbed real soon by the cops (how true, how true). Apparently they fucked up enough - throwing the keys out the window to clients - that they're gone from the building. They have a few days left, and Wayne told them that if they aren't hella quiet then he's calling the SPD and they're going back to jail, where they came from.

It's not that I'm an advocate of jailing drug offenders, or of criminalising substances in the first place. In fact, that's probably much of the reason that we've got this whole dealin' drugs out the window bit.

I've got to say, the last few days are the first time in a month i haven't been woken at night by whistling, fake dog barks, and shouting in the streets in the wee hours.

I should be sleeping better now...

I should post this in the Fuck! thread, but I'm perverse enough that I am posting it here... and I'm pissed off, which really makes me pervese.

I got fired the first day on the new job.

The reason? Because the person (or persons) who fucked me up in the last job (same company) got political and told the other department that they couldn't hire me. Sooooooo.... I put in eight hours and now I'm out of a job...

So, why am I posting in the Hell Yeah! thread? Because LIFE IS GOOD! Why is it good? BECAUSE I SAY SO, THAT'S WHY!! There is a reason I'm going through this shit and the reason is that I NEED THIS SHIT TO MAKE ME WHAT I NEED TO BE!! Fuckin' A!

All that we experience goes into making us who we are, and I am becoming one tough mutha fucka... this is the next step on the road of my life, and it is good for me. It builds character, and that is what I want. So, am I okay with this? HELL YEAH!!! Will I go on and get something better? HELL YEAH!! Am I going to get revenge? Not what most people would call revenge, no, because I know that LIVING WELL, AND LIVING STRONG, AND LAUGHING YOUR ASS OFF IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY IS THE BEST REVENGE!!

Am I a Burner? HELL YEAH!!!

Amen.... now, see y'all at the Bar...

Hell Yeah! Check this shit out. The following scene was just played out in my office about 20 minutes ago.

Sue, the Bookkeeper: "Steve, would you like to increase your contribution to your 401(k)?"

Me [puzzled]: "Uhh...yeah, I know I need to save more n' all, but why are you asking me this now?"

Sue, the Bookkeeper [quietly, under her breath]: "Because you just got a raise, that's why."

Me [still clueless]: "Huh? I got a raise?" [I haven't asked for one]

Sue: "Yes, you did!"

Me [lightbulb lights up]: "How much did I get?"

Sue: "You got a 5% raise, that's how much!"

Me: "Woo-hoo! I got a 5% raise! Fuck yeah!" [Steve walks off grinning].

The kinda crazy part is that my boss had surgery for cancer today (she had to have a hysterectomy - I just found out she even had cancer yesterday from one of the women in the office). Apparently, she told Sue to give me the raise some time earlier this week, before she left to go the hospital. We've already received word that the surgery went well, the cancer had not metastasized to the lymph nodes, she's come out of the anaesthetic, is in recovery and is doing fairly well. Fuck yeah, I love my boss.
...but it seemed like such a good idea at the time...

WooHooo! The show producer gave me a pass on the final VP review that was slated for the day I am supposed to fly out to Vegas. If it had gone the other way I would have had to post on stupid work annoyances.

Hell yeah! It might not be any o' y'all's business, but Rian was talking about the divorce mediation today (where we work out the terms of the final orders so the judge doesn't have to get involved). I was really nervous, but it went exactly as I'd hoped- we were both on the same page, just working out the details and making a few minor compromises with the help of our lawyers. The mediator commented at the end that it doesn't usually go this pleasantly.

It's done. Fairly, and with the best interests of the children in mind. Without bitterness. Without buttons getting pushed.

I was touched when I saw the call for eplaya juju. Every thought, all good energy really helped make it work.
