That middle photo is a "taxation without representation" protest during which kegs of beer were dumped into the Great Salt Lake.

a boozy booze drink for paps....
and a porter for the frenchpuss (good to see you tonight!)
RG: are you doing okay for drinks??
so, all... get this. I actually brought some paperwork HOME WITH ME from work...
however, I get to clock this time, then. so, technically, I'm working right now. That said, I think I'll get myself another beer!
Nipples...are you telling me that your ass is crusty?? Hmmm... maybe I'll think twice about kissing it, then....

Jeez... not only was my previous statement redundant, but it mixed tenses too... oh my.
Lack of beer, I guess.
(shrug)
Nice pics, RG.
Yeah... Louis ville, Looavul, Loueyville, looval... anyway you like it, really.
I-64, huh? Take the West Virginia Turnpike did you?

I don't think so. Not sure about the nomenclature. We got off onto I-60 (I think) and wound all through WV on a 2-laner. Saw Hawk's Nest State Park.

Where's my red pen? Ah, here we go.

Wait, his "only" true love is someone _else_? Ummm. He must have missed "Relationships for men 1020: things about which you must always lie"

I'm of the opinion that "used" is redundant, too, but I guess technically bourbon barrels could technically have never contained bourbon, so I left it in.

Yes, yes... I said "used" for a couple of reasons:
#1) There are cooperages here in the state that produce “bourbon barrels”... oak barrels built to a certain specification and charred on the inside for the distillaries.
#2) Since, by law, Bourbon must be aged in a new barrel every time (any other spirit aged afterwards in a said barrel, even if it is the same mash as before, may not be called “Bourbon”) they are commonly referred to locally as “used”
what do ya' think of that?
(now adhering to the strictest rules, here... should that apostrophe follow "ya"?)

[unsolicited advice]It seems pretty apparent that he will never take you seriously. Who wants to always be second fiddle?[/unsolicited advice]

I think we're all drinking. I would use an apostrophe after ya'. I can't imagine, GE, that you would be capable of or content to play second fiddle, but words reveal much. You know better than I, however. Is it actually a Bourbon Barrel if it has not and will not contain Bourbon?

I love that you love Stoppard, GE. My little sister gave me a Korean import of R and G are D on DVD. It's probably bootleg, but there are no legitimate DVDs in existence (at least not on the US market). If those dunderheads would release it, I'd buy it, no matter how overpriced an uber-special edition it was. Damn, I love that film. My wife thinks I'm a freak for laughing hysterically at a movie I've seen twenty times.

To the best of my knowledge, this is the case, since the cooperages do produce other barrels also (albeit rarely). They are built to specific sizes and heavily charred inside before ever seeing any distilled spirit, with their express purpose being to age Bourbon whiskey. Distilleries have a sort of standing order and there are several full time cooperages around that stay busy.Is it actually a Bourbon Barrel if it has not and will not contain Bourbon?
And incidently, when you’ve got one in the yard, and the sun hits it in the summertime... Oh My God... you could crawl inside and die happy.

well, I'm an actor, for one: and an actor that likes to push people... stoppard has a ridiculous quality that is wonderous to allow a troupe to push an audience without them really realizing it...
and as far as second fiddle: really, it's so hard to describe unless you've been around us and our relationship for the last 8 months. Nothing's ever cut-and-dried with us. We're both drama queens....
thanks for your kind words, though...

It's a lovely colorful expression, too: "second fiddle." God, I love the english language. Glad I didn't have to learn it as my second language, though. Can you imagine trying to master all that contextual meaning and euphemism? Joseph Conrad is a god.
