Oh, I'm a big fan of the image, I'm just not sure if that's what I want to be my visual self on the board. For one thing, if it comes to an arguement, I'm pretty hot-headed and over wrought--not traits I want to encourage in this situation.

Whew! Just did a bunch of reading. The things you miss when you are scraping paint off windows.

Does anyone have good tips for getting painted closed windows to open? Already cut the paint, tried to stick something in to lightly pry apart, blahblahblah, there's goops of paint on the top sash (they are double hung 50's style windows). I'm ready to pour some paint stripper on them in hopes that it filters down through the sash and loosens the paint. Heck, just might strip off all the paint and go with wood...

800 mike golfs of vitamin I and a 40 oz Colt 45 Malt Likker should fix you right up.

They don't move at all. They are painted in thick coats all the way around. Not even a tiny budge of movement. But when they do, I'll try that wax trick.

Yeah, eventually I want to strip them all...for now we thought we'd just paint them and strip them next year...but now we're thinking whatever, just strip them and be done with it, although it will take a lot more time than we planned on right now...however 'taking more time'- I'm starting to think thats what renos are all about.

Oh, you're all invited to my neck of the woods tomorrow night for a big party. BCDC, our local rockstar ACDC cover band, is playing at the pub, and the old brothel, the Palace, is having a big party too. There were plans to have a ski jump off the Palace but it hasn't been snowing enough. There'll be a fire though and lots of kooks. Sunday morning you can stick around for turkey buns and a bluegrass jam at the pub too.

Yeah, I have no idea how people do renos when they live in the house. I can't imagine it.

I'm really enjoying doing all the work, aside from getting a bit worn out, which is as much from my work situation as from the renos. Last night we were talking about buying another house in town and fixing it up too. There's lots of run down houses in our town and lots of older people who are starting to move out. Plus it's way cheaper than the area I live now, and would be good for an investment.

well, there was this big zepplin ballon in the sky and there were hooks hanging off the bottom. But the zepplin wasn't moving and there were these banners hanging off the hooks with stuff written on them. So for some reason I was supposed to but on the last two banners. So they sat me on top of a bi-plane only strapped in by one simple strap across my lap. I'm not sure who the pilot was but it was a guy, reminds of somebody I used to work with. So we take off an fly by the hooks but I miss so we turn around again and I miss again, but out of pure will, I stretch out and reach the hook but the the eyelet that is supposed to hold it unloops. So I grab it in my teeth and close the loop. Meanwhile the airplane has frozen and is managing to stay in the same place while I put on the two banners. Then we fly away and are flying over some fields and I don't remember what happened after that.

no idea how
one room at a time basically. The biggest pain in the ass move was several months ago when we had the floors redone in 3 rooms. It was like moving all over again shuffling the furniture out for a week.

So what's on everybody's agenda for the weekend?

...okay, I'll start

Some friends' band debuts tonight at 10, there's a Surfrider local benefit tomorrow night, and at some point I hope to test blast my new flamethrower, oh and some yoga and cooking.

okay, without knowing what's going on your life it's hard to interpret, but here's a stab:

You have many different things going on, options for you to explore (the many banners). You aren't quite sure what to do (the two banners). You have reliable support for whatever choice you make even from sources you might not think of (the plane, the pilot/co-worker). You might have some problems with what you choose to do (missing the banners, the eyelet unhooking). Even though you don't know how you can manage it, you can accomplish whatever options you choose (getting the banners) and it will work out fine (flying off over the fields).
