Three glasses of wine...Oh, yeah..you're petite.

The basic premise is that Dave Lister (Charles) gets frozen in time for three million years because the whole crew of his deep space mining ship dies in a radiation leak. The ship's computer, Holly, goes batshit during that time, but wakes him up once the radiation subsides, and reincarnates his old roommate Rimmer (Barrie), who is anal-retentive and unbearably pretensious, as a hologram in order to keep lister sane. They also collect an android from a crashed ship, and have a creature that evolved from lister's cat while he was in stasis (known simply as "cat," a very vain and self-absorbed creature.) many great quotable lines and hilarious scenarios.

Originated in Utah, currently living in Virginia Beach, VA. Wife's getting railroaded out of the navy, though, so we'll be returning to UT in a couple months.

Now what's that supposed to mean? I can hold my own. Just because after one glass of wine makes the world rosier doesn't mean I'm tipsy.

There are a lot of great burners in UT, and an extremely tight-knit regional group. We can't wait to get back to them; we're very lonely and isolated here.

Utah is great, and certain percentage of the population is great. But it still sucks to live there. Having to go to a state-owned liquor store to buy wine, or even real beer. Other similar annoyances from the religious influence (Clove Cigarettes are illegal, goddamnit!)

But it's home, and we're ready to go back. Except we're not ready. No jobs or apt. But we'll find a way. And Anti-M will save our asses once again, no doubt.

Well, I think I'm going to head back to bed for a while. Got to think of something to do today once the day has begun for real. Might like to go to the beach and practice spinning fire, since I got my new poi yesterday and haven't had a chance to use them yet.

WY's a fucking wasteland. Not even worth driving through. It's better than Fucking Kansas, though. Well, I'm off. Good morning to you both.

Well, I hate to end the party. But I should probably be off to bed as well, before the rents wake up or the dear ole ma may be mad. Ah, the troubles of living in your parents basement.

Ach, why do I do these things? I just read more or less everything posted since Friday at around 7:30 p.m. PST and before finishing me first coffee.

Had a fine time last night drinking Bass by the pint until the keg ran dry then switched over to Sierra Nevada, which tasted too fruity and nosey after the pale ale. Won't do that again. The band was good for their debut performance, I mean how can you go wrong with three painters who cover such as "Wanna Be Your Dog" and Black Sabbath? They ran through their hour and a half set and were boozing by midnight.

I spent a good while catching up with one of the bartenders, a guy I used to work with, who was coked up out of his mind. At one point a rock actually fell from his nose onto the bar top. Kind of wanted to join him for a bump until I saw that. Ah, the bad old days, some people never leave them.

One other thing since I am in a typing mood: Two new studies in relatively large groups of women show a benefit in mental accuity to moderate drinking.
Women who consumed about a drink a day (up to 15 grams of alcohol, or about half an ounce), the researchers found, had significantly better test results - so much so that in their mental performance, they scored about a year and a half younger than the nondrinkers and those who drank 15 to 30 grams a day.

The study appeared in the Jan. 20 issue of The New England Journal of Medicine.

A second paper, published in the Feb. 1 issue of The American Journal of Epidemiology, reported similar results in a group of 4,461 women.

Hey there. I got up late this morning, which felt really good. Haven't done that in forever. I'll probably be heading out tonight to see Snake Out play. They're the band that Len (the guy who built the coaster) leads. Should be good.

M stumbles in.....(real world)1 beer + 2 hours sitting in a very smoky bar= nicotine headache.....fumbles around looking for coffee and ibuprophen. No coffee yet on to brew...plugs in coffee pot with the magic whatever kind of coffee you want beans in it. Pours glass of water and downs a couple ibu's. Waits for coffee to get done....

**Donita stumbles in, head pounding from last night**

Went to a local BM party last night. I cannot do red wine! After that, I went to see a band with the girls. Drank and danced. Partial memories. Vodka and cranberry. Kick-ass rock and roll. Dancing. Another vodka/cranberry. Hells Angels. Tingling sensation all over my body. Long haired hippie dudes. LEATHER. Tingling sensation all over my body. Another vodka/cranberry. HARLEYS. More dancing. Another vodka/cranberry. Some creep trying to put his hand on my ass. (Hey, if he was at least halfway decent about it, I may not have minded, but he was plastered and acting stupid.) Another drink. Rolling Stones cover songs. Tingling sensation all over my body. Leather. The sounds of Harleys...and wishing I was on one.

This morning: I'll take 5 aspirins, a bloody mary, and a rubber mallet, please. :? Gotta stop mixing drinks...
