I love the desert. I lived in Las Vegas for three years and in Santa Fe, NM for three years as well. The harshness of the environment is juxtaposed by the serene tranquility of the atmosphere. I just feel, I guess "spiritually enlarged" is a good way to put it, out in the desert.
Bingo. Yep, that's it.

Spiritual enlargement must be a euphemism for being hot and cranky.

speaking of some what obscure sci-fi,.. Have you ever heard of an audio sci-fi series [ RUBY 2 ]. I was reminded of it because there is a snitch named " Rodent " or " Rodant " as he pronounces it, in the story.

Not familiar with it, but the Rodent might be. Never could get into Dr. Who. I was just bored by it.

Back in the day I watched Dr. Who I was pretty much stoned most of the time, I'm sure that enhanced it a bit.

Heard of, never heard. comes up in conversation with ubergeeks every now and then.

Apparently "rodent'"'s only dialogue is "eep".

No, he's a full blow character that talks in kind of a rodent like slimy underworld voice. ( the classic questionable character that becomes an alley) as I recall it's been a long time.

Wow, I could be close to attaining ubergeek statues, I've always been considered just a little strange.

Probably. Of course, I remember some old Hanna-Barbera cartoons as being good from when I was a kid (and of course they were old by then), but saw some of them on TV a while ago, and was appalled that such mind-numbing idiocy can legally be broadcast, much less packaged as children's viewing. Ever seen a episode of Space Ghost?

Projection tv screen showing the game I think the total screen width was 10 ft?
Spectacular view of downtown however.
I think i ate to much. i'm not sure. i just feel icky.
But that house. So big. 3 floors. Grand entry way. Spiral stair case. Bedroom suite on the top floor

At least some of the folks there liked out beer. One guy said someting.. along the lines of.. "A beers a beer"

No, but I'll find something. Someone special made a statement after I got back from the San Diego fires in 2002 and almost got fried, "I don't know what I would do if anything ever happened to you". So I have been thinking about this for a long time. Decided that something else is way more important than a little adrenaline. Go figure.

Did i have fun?

right now i feel sick to my stomach. I'm not sure why. Maybe it was the pizza. I mistakenly grabbed one that was way to spicy for me. And I think it upset my stomach.

It also could of been do to the general feeling of uncomfortableness of a generally poor girl in a fancy house thing.

Ugh. something not right here.

*hugs* Oh, god, I know that feeling.

I remember the first time the ex took me to his parents' house. The house is in a particularly affluent portion of southern Santa Clara County, on a hillside with a lake view.... I was grateful we were just dropping off their car, and they weren't actually home, because I wouldn't have wanted them to see the wreck I was when I got out of his truck. I actually started crying a mile from the house, because there was so fucking much money in the neighborhood, and I was a goddamned impostor.

Let him take a few more belts off that bottle. He'll be right as rain.

What the hell does that mean, anyway? "Right as rain?" Hmm. time to do some research.

Just ask Noah.

Apparently, it doesn't mean anything. Just an alliterative nonsense phrase that became popular. Originated around 1900, but it wasn't apparently intended to mean anything in particular.
