Heck, if eating fiber were as much fun as eating fat, we'd all have to take constipating agents and special vitamens to help us absorb when our guts' are so squishy.

Dang, too early on a Monday moreing to make sence.

Hey Sammich, you spin any d-n-b?
I have a few D'n'B records (Mostly Tech-step) but I usually linger in the region of house grooves. It all depends on my mood though.

At some point this summer I will be coming up to visit my parental units, they live about 20 to 30 minutes north of Portland, across the river as they say. So, while there I will be spending some time in Portland and would love to hear you spin.

Great. Do they still make Great Northern Porter at Summit Avenue Brewery? Is it still good? Do you need your chin scritched?

It was awesome. Sandra Collins has a bad rep with a lot of people but she really changed at least my opinion of her this weekend. She played til nearly 4am even though she had to fly out at 6am. At the afterhours I gained some new fans which always feels nice.

Yeah, They have been in Washington for 3 or so years now. Moms pissed me off big time a year ago so I have not been up or talked with them but, I'm over it and they will have to deal with me. Actually I will be up there for a few weeks I thinks working on their house. So, a visit would be very cool, and, be warned, I plan on going up to Seattle as well, just for a mild fuck shit up session.

Why the hell did they move to the 'Couv? the 'Couv sucks, big time.

Anyway, we'd better tear it up in Seattle AND Portland, it looks like. Or just go camping....

They tend to move about quite alot. Vacations spark their interest in moving to an area and since my father just needs to be close to a major airport for work, they can do it.

Huh!?!? Well, I think Washington is fucking gorgeous. But, then again, I don't live there either.

right now i feel sick to my stomach. I'm not sure why. Maybe it was the pizza. I mistakenly grabbed one that was way to spicy for me. And I think it upset my stomach.

It also could of been do to the general feeling of uncomfortableness of a generally poor girl in a fancy house thing.

Ugh. something not right here.
*hugs* Oh, god, I know that feeling.

I remember the first time the ex took me to his parents' house. The house is in a particularly affluent portion of southern Santa Clara County, on a hillside with a lake view.... I was grateful we were just dropping off their car, and they weren't actually home, because I wouldn't have wanted them to see the wreck I was when I got out of his truck. I actually started crying a mile from the house, because there was so fucking much money in the neighborhood, and I was a goddamned impostor.
I've been thinking of starting a class issues type thread. Would you two post to it?

bullD - the folks i met in Vancouver, the portland-wanna-be city, we generally nonsensical, idiotic crackfiends. i haven't been impressed.

i spent a week on a canvass down there for the PIRG. We lost half of our crew in that one week because the city was such a horrid place to be canvassing.

i drive right through it, whenever possible.

Thanks, hiddenfish. It's both a blessing and a left-handed blessing at the same time, but we'll roll with the punches. I'm sure we'll be better off at the end of this adventure than we were at the start, so that's something, anyway.

ohh, shit, sorry. They live in, uhhh, Ridgefield, I think. {which I am sure has it's fair share of crackwhacks}

I understand the Vancouver dislike. I always say when picking up materials down in Vancouver, "so, why don't we just head into Portland and save a buck on taxes."
