That she lies, and that mainstream media helps her. They're supposed to be a disinterested voice, but they don't seem to be able to apply the most simple critical thinking principles.
It's wrong to blame the victims whether it's rape, fraud, or a psychic scam. It's not that they're stupid, but rather that they've never been taught critical thinking, and are ripe for the harves for people like Dubois, who gives families of missing people false hope, or throws police off the actual track of solving the case. And for what? A quick buck and some ill-deserved respect and press.

I do have an axe to grind, and it is both a general statement and a true one. No psychic has ever contributed, in any way, by means of their supposed paranormal abilities, to a police investigation. Ever. The rule for negating generalizations is to provide a counter-example. I've never been helped by a psychic, but I've seen enough strange stuff happen in this world that I cannot rule out the possibility of "powers" outside of our scientifically sanctioned boundaries....

Okay, let me just throw out my views on psychics first. I generally have a pretty skeptical view of psychics, I believe that most "psychics" are charletons looking for a buck. But I also believe that there is a small amount of people that label themselves as psychics to appeal to a certain part of society. I have met one psychic in particular that worked more as a spiritual counselor, rather than someone who can tell the future. I keep an open mind and would love to scientific evidence.
Now, I'm not blaming "victimes". But, adults that are old enough to make there own decisions. If people want to believe in a false hope that's their decision. The world is full of scam artists and if you don't have the critical thinking to to believe them that's your problem. I don't think that I should have to hold these people's hands through life. Maybe they need to fall prey to one of these scammers to learn a valuable lesson.

I think that if you can ignore the manner of folk in the park it's a great time. The little girl will absolutely love MK. There is shit at Epcot that will trip your trigger but most of the stuff is kinda weak.
Mission Space at Epcot is a must do although the girl may not be tall enough. I spent the better part of a year working on that one.
Test Track is also fun, especially if you're an auto geek.
The Living Seas is a really nice aquarium that certified guests can dive in.
MK is really the park for little kids. All the usual Disney shit. Lots of good stuff though. I have not done a lot of work for that park though so I don't have any great ideas.

I figure that if even a couple of cents from all those dollars I am going to drop in the parks makes it into your pocket Stuart then there is at least some good karma in all of it. I'm not saying that it's okay to con people. But I accept that it's a part of the world. It's a dog eat dog world out there and I tend to be the fend for yourself type. I just don't think it's possible to rid the world of scam artists. Nor would I really want to rid the world of them. I think they can teach people valuable life lessons.

The key is in educating people about it. As long as people are fed this drivel as though it were fact, they'll be susceptible to it. The JREF has been trying to years to get people to think critically about these kinds of paranormal claims, even offering a one million dollar cash prize to anyone who can demonstrate, under proper observing conditions, any kind of paranormal or supernatural phenomena or ability. No one has claimed it yet. No one has even come close. The amateurs fall on their faces, and the pros (like Dubois and Browne) won't even try. Browne agreed to, then never showed, and Dubois lied and said the money doesn't exist (which of course it does, which has been proven).
The media on whom we rely to inform people can't even ask the simplest fucking questions, Larry King frequently features Browne and others, and never allows callers to ask critical questions, or asks tough questions of the psychics himself.
