very lickable bucket...

i smoked weed in a phone booth there once...remember phone booths? those were the days man, those were the days...

and we would sit on the little fence and throw garbage on the ground to see how fast it would get picked up...which is pretty dang fast.

too much pastel colors overall for my psychedelic pleasure...yikes. gimme some primaries fergoshsakes

Yea, I've heard of the JREF. I don't know, I guess I just don't see it as my place to save society from these people if they choose to believe in them.

The new Sylvia Browne Clock is placed here so that interested readers can follow an ongoing situation. The original clock started March 6th, and ran 181 days. I think you're basically correct, but do you think that there may be bias in the formation of the human brain that leads us to believe in a universe with intentionality and that that is the real weakness. Perhaps we are primed to believe something and the psychics and priests are only filling that need, as it were, in a way science cannot.

And if true, what do you do about it?

I get behind intelligent organizations, like American Atheists and the JREF, and I talk to people, and try to educate them one at a time. And I have conversations like the one I'm having right now.
