Little Rock

Post by gigglesnort » Mon Dec 27, 2004 6:28 am

Hey Little Rock! Can anybody hear me?

Um, Peggy? A little bird told me you were there and that you are from here, too. Where are you now? Are you going again?

I went to BM in 2003 and plan to go this year? How 'bout you? As for Memphis, I do my part to make this city as insane as possible.

Virgin with a ticket in hand and a sketchy plan for making it out there. My friend dot told me of a memphis burner interested in getting some locals together who were planning on going this year. Would that be you?

Thats not me but I would love to participate locally. I'm pretty versed in party-creation if I do say so myself. This is your first time huh? BM absolutely rocks! It was a real adventure.

Hey colorado! I lived in boulder for a time. I'm hoping to catch a ride with a local burner, though I've yet to meet him; my aforementioned friend told me it's a given. He apparently goes yearly and carries folks out with him. You?

I flew last time b/c the drive is Loooong. Its much more difficult to arrange logistics with all of the gear, but its quicker. I did a rideshare from the message boards to get from Reno airport to BRC. There was a big storm the day I flew and it f*cked up the flights for everyone. The folks that I was to ride with lost thier bags and had to stay in Reno. I literally stood in the airport for about 15-20 min before I had a ride. Its the coolest experience, everyone helps out each other! Part of the culture sistah! Theres a couple from Memphis that goes every year - strangebrew..

Say, how does leisure pay as far as yer occupation goes, and did you have to go to school for it??? I wanna do *that* when I grow up.

.....and so this year, flying or driving? I much prefer road trips to airplanes, which freak me out a bit. Strangebrew, the couple's surname?

Basically at the airport, 5 strangers banded together, rented an SUV went shopping (for those that needed to go) and off we went. The dude that drove was the most experienced burner, something like 6 years. He was an MD from ATL and had all kinds of emergency medical gear. We missed the turnoff and had to drive an additional 2 hours. I got to BRC as the sun came up, very surreal. I found my camp (kostume kult) and of course everyone was passed out. I knew i was in the right place b/c it smelled of whiskey! Like a moth to the flame, a southern man to whiskey...
As for my respected occupation, its either PBR or champagne.

I'm from Virginia. I have been here in the land-O-cotton for a while now. So you dont like planes but your father is Air Force? Do you know something that I dont know? I have a few friends that are former AF, they all fly for FedEx. Now that you mention it, I think I might head downstairs to the LQR store for a bottle of the bubbly before I head out for the eve. Whats on the agenda in LR? I've never spent time there socially.

I don't get out much as I'm a single mama of three. I did have a rare evening out last night to a spot called Sticky Fingerz and danced to a hippy-type jam band (they had a standup bass player with happy feet, much fun!) Colonel something and the something or others.

Me padre was a pencil pusher and dissappeared from my scene very early on, stranding us here in the armpit of hte nation. Actually, it's not so bad......very pretty land, lots of outdoors kinda stuff to do, lots of lakes and rivers and woods and such.

Enjoy yer night out, and drink a bubbly to me!

As well as our very own Maybelline factory! Where I, too, could go work the night shift, if my mother had her way. *makes ugly faces*
