Finally lunchtime. I am back at work after going to the doctor lastnight. Upper respriratory infection is no fun. They gave me a sterioid spray that I have to use in my nostrils. And also a supply of antibiotics which I normally would never touch but three major colds in the last two months is too much for me. I think I am ready to go home and sleep. But at least I found out I am elgible for sick days now that I have been with the company long enough. So anyone have a strong whiskey for me?

Jason

PS Good to see you all (Those that are still here)

Thank you for the whiskey. Glad to hear you beat your sickness my turn has come to leave this ailment behind. I might quit smoking at the same time. I have needed to but it is so much easier when sick.

And the negative shit is just what negativity is. It spreads worse than any sickness and infects many. I did sales a while back and one of the greatest speakers I heard was Ernie Villanueva (SP?). When he wasn't mentioning the company I worked for he talked for a good length about negativity. Artis Webb was another great speaker. All of their speaking came down to one thing- Negativity is a disease. It really is. You see one person who utters the nastyness and it spreads slowly to others. I have almost posted on several of the threads lately but my wife watching over my shoulder kicked me in the ass and reminded me that I would only contribute in a negative way. Many BBS's I am on are going the same direction right now and I think it paints more of a social problem rather than just an E-playa problem. Social behavior is learned and usually from those around us. The conflict we see on TV or even the political conflict affects all of us in some way or another and affects our behavior.

But I need to stop because my head is fuzzy and I am probably the only one who will make sense of this post.

yeah, well just in case everything goes to heck in a handbasket you can find me at The New Electronic Playa on tribe.net :)

the only thing that helped me get better was sleep, and lots of water, the rest of it was just treating the symptoms...oh, and the antibios helped!

I am used to hearing "Dad, I want that!" My son is an only child and the first grandchild to both families. We are doing are best to keep his ego in check but sometimes he goes a bit wild. I love when he sees some advertisement and proclaims how loudly he wants it then we have to tell him he only needs what we give him. I am not that much of a hardass but I won't cave to spoiling.

If you don't mind I will join ya in that beer.

In my mind's eye, I keep seeing a giant coin with an enormous laughing DVD on one side and a multitude of various eplaya sour faces on the other, flipping over and over and over......

Well, I've got three, and they are all spoiled rotten. I try to be the antigrandma/pa. So hard to understand the difference between want and need, especially when you are 3, 6, or 8.

So much for chewing gum and thinking at the same time, heh?

I just watched Farenheight 9/11 lastnight. I enjoyed it.

Want and need are in some ways so much easier when you are a child.
