I want to say something about food, specifically, okra. It's my new favorite vegetable. I buy it frozen and heat it up in a little good tomato sauce or, as tonight, in a bit of Moroccan chickpea stew. Not gooey at all. Serious.

"spectab" seems like I remember some of the acid around one summer being called speck-tab..... I've heard people say " need to eat spectab " before.

Never tried Okra give me the lowdown on taste and texture.

I think tonight is a pizza night all around. I going to order me a grecian. Fucking great pie. With a side of greek salad. That shit makes me smile for a week.

how can one describe the taste of okra? jeez, um, well, you can tell that it's a vegetable. uh. texture? slight crunch on the outside if not overcooked, white soft seeds inside. not recommended as a pizza topping, think with a hearty winter stew with ballsy spices. outstanding.

Is it more bitter or sweet? Sorry I am a picky bastard and try to be a little careful.

one great way to get to know our friend okra is as a pickle. I get Talk O' Texas brand at my local grubby grocery. Looks like alien food for sure.

okay I am munching one right now. it's sweetish with maybe a hint of the taste of fresh snappea, but a unique tang. I think okra is from Africa so maybe that's why it tastes like nothing else

Cool I will try it and get back to ya.

Oh and here are the toppings on the pizza I am going to get. Just want to make some of you drool...

Topped with Mozerela, then thinly sliced raw red onions, next add lamb sausage, feta cheese, marinated tomatoes, then put on a sauce of garlic and olive oil, the final topper is a side of tzatziki sauce.

That is good shit if you are not vegitarian.
