Burners in Santa Cruz?

Post by ravencat » Sun Feb 20, 2005 11:27 pm

Hi everybody,
I'm a burner virgin (looking forward to changing that), and I'm trying to find burners in the Santa Cruz area that I can get some good stories/advice from. Hopefully make some more friends along the way.
So who's out there?

Hey, Ravencat. There is quite an active Santa Cruz burner community. You might want to post on tribe.net as well as here. I can get you in contact with some Santa Cruz folks if they dont respond directly to your posting.

YAY!! More Santa Cruzians!!!

Stop by the Poet'n'Patriot tonight (Monday), there's going to be a little gathering of us. Later, we're heading over to the Blue Lagoon for Goth Night wich is also pretty heavily saturated with burners.

8:00-?:??
Poet & Patriot Irish Pub
320 CEDAR St. Ste E
Santa Cruz, CA 95060

also, some South Bay, Monterey and Santa Cruzians have a monthly campout every first Saturday at Red White and Blue Beach www.redwhiteandbluebeach.com

Every wednesday, there's a poi spin jam out on Seabright beach (weather permitting) and an indoor spin jam is being talked about at either the Attic or the 418 Project (those involved are still working out the details).

There's also been some talk about getting a monthly EL Wire soldering jam together and possibly a stitch'n'bitch costuming bash.

The Burning Beach website seems to be lagging a bit, but we should poke Ronjon with some motivation. But do go to www.burningbeach.com and sign up for the email list, it's a pretty quiet email list but will undoubtedly get more active as August aproaces.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Hope to see ya tonight!

We're a fairly unorganized rabble around here, but what we lack in structure, we make up for with passion!
