The Size of the MAN..

I know it's not suppose to be the size that matters but...are there renderings of the Man yet? Last years was certainly not as impressive in years past to me. Don't want to appear ungrateful because I was just in awe of the temple. It seemed that they were downsizing the man, any truth there?

It is my understanding that the man has been constructed to be the same size every year. Perhaps he seemed smaller in 04 because he was so high above people and you couldn't get right up next to him.

Funny you should ask, Frenchie. I just spent the weekend with Smoke, he's the guy who does the neon for the man, and he's so ready to get back to the playa it hurts... cool person, cool cool person. It just so happens I am helping the guys from gigsville do a pilot for "Spike TV" called "Ministers of Unknown Science" hilarously funny stuff. Not to mention totally awesome group just to hang out with afterwards. Talk about the love, you are just immersed in it when you're among them.

It is going to be simply delicious. No moon at all so no easy reference point, you wont be able to go by the way the man is facing ... disorientation is gonna be the "thing" this year.

that gives me an idea...how about running a dozen mutant vehicles loaded with flamables into the Man at the burn to start things off? No?
