how else could he have gone? Seems perfectly fitting to me that he went on his own terms, on his own time, instead of waiting for his body to rot out from under him.

I'm wondering if the findings of his autopsy will be reported anywhere...My friends and I are pretty much agreed on the idea that he probably discovered he had some degenerative or terminal condition and decided, like Swampdog said, to go on his own terms.

I a writing this not to belittle the man but when I found out he shot him self I was a little disapointed. I would have thought he could have thought of something more out of the ordinary, although he did love guns so I have mixed feelings on the whole subject.
