A NOLA Burner Parade???

As I develop the itinerary for the New Orleans Getaway April 14-17, I found that it's not too expensive to have a parade in the French Quarter.

Now, I'm imagining how much fun it would be to parade around in full playawear regalia with fire spinners, stilts,etc.

I just don't know if it appeals to others. I guess you first have to know that New Orleans is a party all the time! Secondly, you need to know that the burner weekend is really inexpensive. We have group rate and the rooms are only $210 for 2 people for 3 days and include tix to the main event on Saturday night. Bands, DJs, musicians, lights, bar crawl, cemetary tours, pool parties...a lot of stuff. So a parade seems like a good idea.

Just a note to let you folks know that your plans sound like fun ( even to a local ! ). Feel free to get in touch if I can somehow help ( note: I expect you will have difficulties getting permission to include fire in any way , anywhere in town ).
I would like to know more about your party plans for Saturday ! and the parade !!

Great talking to you yesterday. I guess no fire would not be the end of the world for the parade. Hopefully there would still be some groove hoops people to add that feel.
