Count me in... I'd rustle up some porter to pass out for that one.

Hello retsub, and welcome!!!

So you are in Belgium, yes? I've a burner friend who's in Europe at the moment. Sent me an email pic of some very tasty looking waffles when she passed through Belgium

apwire service as quoted by aol wrote:LOS ANGELES (March 16) - A jury acquitted tough-guy actor Robert Blake of murder Wednesday in the shooting death of his wife four years ago, a stunning verdict in a case that played out like pulp fiction.

The jury also acquitted Blake of one charge of trying to get someone to kill his wife, but deadlocked on a second solicitation charge.
Note me down as a cynic, 'cause I thought he did it.

Don't need to apologize. guy was guilty as sin. just another gross miscarriage of justice.

Drift from another thread

hehehe... Speaking of feedback - here's a direct quote from my annual review:
"When completed, his illustrations and graphic artwork are very good." (Emphasis mine...)
The whole thing basically said I do great work, but am a little unpredictable regarding scheduling... ::sigh::
Can't argue with that...

Oh well - they knew I was a flake when they hired me... (hehehe...)
They love me, but wish I would show up before 11 am {See NOTE 1} and be more like a 'suit' I guess. {See NOTE 2}

I still think (hope) I'll get a raise, though... It's a great company, and I LOVE my job!

{NOTE 1} :: It doesn't matter that I stay 'till midnight, and nobody sees me come out of my little cave of an office all day...
{NOTE 2} :: The 'NASA' suit I wear to work every day doesn't count. I ride a motorcycle, and walk from the parking lot to my office wearing all my gear, including the fully wired helmet with tunes going...

</thread drift>

I'll be working on some more icon ideas later tonight - stay tuned...
Funny how it is that they want you to "think outside the box" and "be creative" but they can't really cope wiht what that means. . .

Oh, man... they get damn crazy around here first weekend in May. It’s like a major thing. I’ve got two busy, busy times of the year in my business. Christmas and Derby. It’s all about getting the house ready for the party. I try to stay the heck out of town when that thing comes round. You can’t move for all the people.

All the hollywoods (as helitack calls 'em) come to town and live it up. Yeah, Kentucky is "cool" around Derby time.

Welcome Back

Post by countessbathory » Wed Mar 16, 2005 6:11 pm

Dear Admin

I would like to compliment you on a job well done and hopefully with more improvement to come. I especially like the NEW REGISTRATION FEATURE AND THE TERM AND AGREEMENTS that apply to them. 8) They were clearly outlined, eaiser to follow and more precise. I believe, however, that before the board went "live" again, that all somehow all a feature should have been installed to where all users should have been forced to READ/REVIEW THE TERMS OF SERVICE OF USAGE. to prevent any further abuses / downfalls that were occuring right before the admins shut down the board. :shock:

Congrats and good luck

did you want me to hold your hand, too?

I think this suggestion highly unnecessary and also highly insulting. We are not children. We don't need to be told/reminded of the rules before we play the game. Responsible people understand that they need to educate themselves in the rules of a game before they play, lest they be disciplined for not following them. Not knowing the rules is not a legitimate excuse.

Pardon me for being snarky, but this type of suggestion fosters that which I view as the main fault of the board in the first place: an unwillingness to use common sense, while instead participating in utter nit-pickiness and tattletaling.

For a community based on radical self-reliance, it feels a bit too much like a daycare for my taste.

**Monkeypoo walks into the Empire Store, grabs a shopping cart, starts getting supplies (mostly beer), stops for a moment, looks around, smiles, eats a banana, scratches the cat's ears, waves to a few familiar old names and faces, pays for groceries, and goes on home to drink the beer**
