I don't give a flying fuck about admin and tech crap. Let's light this goddam candle. Or whatever the fuck this is. Let us eplayans create our own threads. The other board is hard to read, innane and we need to get back to where we where. We have the capability to ignore people who we don;t like, what else do we need. Makes me wanna start drinkin again. I am LIGHTING THE MAGICK HOT TUB AS WE SPEAK. There cannot be that much tech BS unless some people are trying to placate another boards people. Fuckin get on with it.

No clue here. Personally, I would have put the whole board back up and make changes as we go along, sort of "on the fly" but that is just the kind of "seat of the pants" guy that I am.

Now that I've stopped laughing... I just had this vision of Agamemnon standing on the battlefield of Troy, swingin in the breeze, hands on hips, with Carmina Burana playing in the background...

I need more wine...

Am I going to need to moderate my own post for violating the ToS? Did I make a no-no reference? I considered it when I wrote it, but thought I was obscure enough and not trying to relate to the event or anything, but maybe I would like to go back and edit my post ;) now that I think about it. Maybe I will wait for Ms. Sparkle to reprimand me.

Heli, you know I love you babe, but I think you're just pissed that people called out your shit over there. It's a conversation that's been had multiple times, but for some reason you're too stubborn to admit that there MIGHT be sense in what we say about it.

Letter to Spanky

Post by calsur » Wed Mar 23, 2005 12:36 am

An Open Letter to Spanky

Spanky,

I know what you are trying to do is make a web site that is perfect in the software sense. And I hate to be the one that bursts your bubble but that will NOT happen. There are too many OS’s and individual tweaks. At some point you just have to let the Eplaya fly and deal with the software problems. I humbly suggest the time is now.

Also I went to the Playa for the first time last year. And all the tips and tricks I learned on the Eplaya starting in January saved me from a COMPLETE disaster on the Playa. There are people planning now who need the advice the Eplaya can provide.

Please open up the Eplaya.

Thanks,

Calsur

Calsur:

We are going to reopen the ePlaya tomorrow. We will be working on it all day to get it into shape. I might not be completely done by the end of the day, but I'll do my best. I understand your concern which is why I am working on it non-stop. See you tomorrow!

No, no, no--Carmina Burana is faux heroic middle ages germans, not faux heroic bronze age geeks.

before retiring, i spent 25 years in fire restoration. More than once i have gone into the "kids" room and found tweekervill u s a. There would hundreds of radios, steros, vcr's &tvs guted out. Just enough room left on the to sit. My team would remove the shit with large scoops. The tweeker would stand around saying: I was fixing that and that's all shit.

With that said, Can you see e playa in it's present state?
