Video Clips of Burning Man

Post by Omnidexter » Mon Mar 28, 2005 9:07 am

Hey all!

After a long and pretty fruitless search for video clips I was wondering if some of you could post links to your own video clips of burning man.

Not only would I greatly appreciate it, but I think the thread would be useful for others would wish to get a little pre-taste of the BM action.

Cheers,

Generally speaking, publicly posting video clips of the event requires written permission, since it's public use - not to say that folks don't have them and have permission, but just a reminder to anyone who's thinking of posting their footage. The reason's not arbitrary - footage on the web can be captured without permission and used for commercial purposes.

There's a great film called "Dust Devils" by two really fantastic Irish burners, Aprile Blake and Dearbhla Glynn. Have you seen that one yet?

Dust Devils is great! Saw it right before I left town last year. Gifting It and Beyond the Black Rock are both good as well. Actually I think I want to leave work early and go watch both of those.

Yahoo.com has a video search. Try this link:

Cheers Guys,

...haven't seen the Irish Doc', heard about it though. - Met Larry Harvey in Dublin at the screening of another video.. he was roaming europe last year trying to inspire people to create their own burning men.

Video wise, i understand the fear of commercial theft etc.. to a certain extent, but seriously.. the quality that we're talking on the internet isn't good enough for broadcast, and no one in their right mind would pay to see it.

Thanks for the yahoo vid search! About time we could search for .avi .mpeg .mpv etc..

And finally video wise... here's a great link that was posted in order to share.

Enjoy!
