(Black cat staggers into the bar, heads to the sink, hangs his head and drools a little from numb, swollen lips)
Don’t worry... it’s not rabies, I swear. So I ‘ve still got all my wisdom teeth, right? Well, up until about three hours ago anyway. One started hurting Saturday, so I go into my dentist today to see if he’s got an opening this week sometime. He says, “We’ll we just so happen to have an opening right now!!” It was weird... the room got sort of dark and his eyes started to glow red. He started laughing too.
I thought that was a bit odd.
After yankin’ ‘em out, though, they held me over some sort of stone with channels carved into it so that the blood ran round and round until it went out into this sort of cup thing.
That was pretty cool to watch...
And they seemed so happy to have been able to help me. They were just laughing and dancing in circles, holding that cup up when I left.
(grabs a bottle of bourbon and heads to sit by the fire)
I'll just be over here giving my pain meds a bit of a boost.

(now spanning two laps)
I can only do certain ones, fishy, cause most pain meds give me horrible nightmares. And even this one sort of makes me sick at my stomach, so you better put a towel under me. But I figure getting it all done now is better than before heading to the playa... yikes...
Giggles!!!
Arghh..... how’s the weather where you are?

I'm okay, bullD. the mrFishist is in Fresno right now, so I'm gonna go to the Haight after work. I lack imagination as to where to go in the city, I guess, but I haven't been to mendelsons in over a year.

Oh, bullD... I think that was the fish with the 3 at once. I only had two today in all truth... both upper wisdom teeth. That leaves just one in there, but it’s in such a place that I can clean all around it and he said it could stay. But yoinks... I was numb and all, but it just gives the freaking creeps to hear all that cracky-poppin’ and have this guy digging like hell in my mouth. Then those pliers... oh dear God...

Painmeds are freaky, kitty, that's for sure. For me, the effective dose of asperin gives me tintinitus--which is a sign of overdose! I was given the vikingdom, which I hated using more than 2 doses in a row. Cause then I needed immodium. I don't see how people can become heroin addicts. Or maybe I can--that does seem like something to avoid once you get started on the primrose path!

Oh... yeah... sorry giggles, I misread. Easy to do right now, actually. And I should clarify that both my lowers are still in there but only one is out. The other never emerged and he felt it best to leave it alone. So I reckon I’m done with the extractions... I hope at least.

I got some fillings and two crown prep all at once and those nasty pliers knocked out half of one of my good teeth. Then the next evening I got that nasty stomach emptier. ONe of my less than special weeks. BUt like I say I'm almost "human" again.LeChatNoir wrote:Oh, bullD... I think that was the fish with the 3 at once. Funny how we take our subjective experience as the natural baseline for everything.LeChatNoir wrote:Tinitus, huh? I’ve had that all my life. I remember how astonished I was to learn that not everyone heard ringing in their ears.
