You dog! Ice Cream on Sunday
Oh and it was so feckin’ good... sort of semi-solid... like really cold pudding. I went around to some of the neighbors and spoon fed them until it was gone.

I've not seen blue today, Z. I'm sure she'll be around sooner or later.

The scavenger hunt required me to find a popsicle stick. It actually was pretty easy. I rode my bike along sedna and stopped at 3 RVs. At the third one the guy had a Dove bar that he insisted I eat in order to get the stick. We talked and talked and then I thanked him. It was all about meeting people, really.

A turkey fryer can be a uesful asset while camping. (Get the stainless pot)
In Telluride, a couple of guys every year do turkeys. Poultry is probably not good for the Playa. French Fries seems very cool. Who can advise me how to burn peanut oil so as not to carry it out?

Wow Synchro. Haven't had anyone ask for ayahuasca brew before. There might be some here under the bar. I'd look for it, but I just realized how late it is, and I've got to run. Z, can you help him find his drug of choice?

(You fool, not a good choice.)

Oops, sorry - Tequila with a beer back, if you have it. Never mind the setup, I wouldn't order it if I didn't like the taste.

One shot for the spiritual sojourner.

We do fried plantains, sweet potatoes, etc. every Thanksgiving in my deep fryer. You can do lots and lots with them, but as you mention the oil is a problem. although... you can filter it and haul it back out to use again. I mean, if you had the space to haul it in...

but some flamethrower/mister thing might be really much more fun.

Gee maybe you could convince somebody burning Bio-diesel peanut oil is almost as good even with the burnt potato chunks floating in it.

Sorry. I can see you're closing - I'll just sip a beer in the corner while you sweep up. If I may......

Double fried?

Not familiar, please do tell. Although... I’ve friends who own a restaurant in Asheville, NC and they do a twice baked sweet potato. Bake it, cut it in half, scoop it out, mix it with maple syrup, repack, rebake.

Yummm.....

I saw some show a long time ago on Caribbean cooking that had plantain fried in some kind of animal fat that once browned the old woman took out of the pan and squished it and then fried it again.

I’m southern. Anything fried is good, anything fried twice has got to be awesome.
