My suggestion would be to go to your local liquor store and ask if the could spare a few boxes. I work at a wine and liquor and after stock day we have tons of extras that we don't mind giving away. They will already have cardboard dividers so the bottles should stay safe. The store might even have an extra wooden wine crate or two. There's no harm in asking.the_iconoclast wrote:*stumbles in, tired as hell from moving..*
Two fingers of bourbon..
I have come to an impasse.. Any suggestion on safe transport of about $500 worth of liquor..
I tried reducing the load last night by going on a Rusty Nail binge.. but I passed out just prior to emptying half a bottle of Drambuie and Glen Moran...

Goddess bless you, m'dear!!!!Aldebaran wrote:$50 for Laphroaig!! My god what they doing to you guys across there! Well let me add a bottle of Laphroaig to your fine alcohol collection....
That's the prob... you get used to the best, others catch on, and then it's a sellers market.

I like that... maybe it's because I use colored lexan bottles to store my booze out on the playa...
Red... Lessee... That'd be... Bacardi 151. Rum! (Of course - Red Rum!)
Takes another sip of the L stuff... Eyes close... dreamy expression appears...)
The only problem is I keep mixing up the clear ones filled with water, and the clear ones filled with Stoly. What a dilemma.

Don't buy tea, unless you get it ready to drink in the morning. Buy a large hand of ginger root, slice it up - bark and all, add to a good couple of quarts of water. Boil for 45 mins to an hour. Add a dollop of honey while hot. Squeeze / pour in a big splash of lime juice. Pour in quart bottles and chill. Start on on one on the way to work and nurse at it til it's gone. Repeat as necessary.
Note: If it doesn't have a "burn" - you made it too weak.

Hey, Elemental... Somebody fitting that bill should drop in sooner or later. In the meantime I can offer you a porter? I’m just not good at mixing drinks... in reality camp or here.I"m in the mood for something fruity with a bite ...
I could do bourbon on the rocks? Or rum?
That’s about it really...
(goes over to a table and looks into the darkness)

my world is a topsie turvy tale of titilating torture
well actually I've just been reading too much....
half of me is hellbent on preps for the Burn
the other is trying to figure out how to return to a primitive fashion of life without sacrificing its since of self...
more sangria? Don't mind if I do
