Yeah... I’ve said before that here in Kentucky, we do vices right. Drive through liquor stores, gambling on horse racing, and tobacco is considered a vegetable.

You know.. I don’t drink that many mixed drinks, really.... but that does sound interesting. The combination of the lime with the sweet of mango sounds like it’d work.

Hmmm... merely a mask for the true intent, huh?

Naw... I guess there's something to be said for enjoying it too. Else we'd all just swill pure grain.

After the first two or three it might as well be pure. Can't really taste it or remember it all that well.

Heh, Heh, Heh

Gads... I’ve got to get up early in the morning. I guess I’m calling it a night. Bay Bridge Sue never did get her IPA. It’s getting warm, now. I’ll leave it there just in case, though.

Good night!!

I have to wait for unca' Sam's no intrest savings account to pay off in a couple weeks... and then... well... Let's just say I'll be ready for August. (and meebee B-4)

But you sure got me salivating. Something about that green demon...

"The green ghost, a cube of sugar, a spoon of sterling, and thou... melteth. Into the playa... slowly. Whence was once upon the sugar melteth upon the tounge, but to be by thy tounge enhanced by yon wormwood.... Unto bliss doth thy soul flow like a spring unto the night under the (new moon) stars... Tell me another beverage that would impose one to wax the light poetic??

OK... very light, not too poetic - what do you expect for a chick at a bar?? >> grins -n- winks <<)

Naw, the stuff on ice (the deer's head gives it away!) is what we used to do shooters of to ward off the flu and similar things when I was eine junge fraulein... It's either guaranteed to get rid of what ails you or make you forget you have it! >>giggles<< Now that I think about it... is it cold yet??

I need a GOOD bloody mary... and BTW, Tim's Cascade bar-B-Q or jalepeno potato chips are awesome to garnish the top of a bloody mary...
And it's gotta have food in it, too, so you really can drink dinner... pickled green beans, olives stuffed with all manner of what-not, peppers, etc.
Put in some worcestershire, some hot sauce, maybe some horseradish... and use good vodka, Grey Goose maybe... sprinkle some black pepper on it...

And pass it over here!!

Yeah, well out west we got Beverages and More--now calling itself "BevMo." Pretty unmelodious, if you ask a fishy.

*fishy brings in remarkably wonderful early baby watermelon and injects with vodka*

Never had a chance to try this, but i hear it's good. Should be ready in a day or two. I'll just leave it on the bar.

g'day hooligans

My mom's getting a new hip on monday, kinda worried as the doctor only expects a 3 day hospital stay. I though hip replacements usually required more time after the fact before a patient was released. Oh well, guess we'll find out... Mom is a nurse and does her homework, so I'll trust her judgement. On the updside, I'm headed her way this weekend so snatch the sangria recipe from her, oh and wish her well.

Aside from that, I"ve dicovered that the BBC doesn't know jack about making entertaining TV shows... Back to books...

Oh and before I forget, Le Nip for LeChat!

Sorry topop out, but I had anclass with an exam... if you see sput, thank him for me for helping with the oranges (can't wait for breakfast tomorrow!!!)... gonna call it a night, tomorrow continues this one fun week. Yiiii!!!

Oh, hi E6 - This shift split is lousy. Try an orange but watch out - it looks like sput really supercharged these babies!

(Holds up squishy orange, vodka seeping from the surface...)

That hip replacement works wonders - a former best friend had to have both done - went from needing 2 canes to dancing. Amazing results... I'm happy for your mom!!

And I agree... BBC is to television what Jaguar (used to be) for low-maintenance autos.

(giggles furiously, eyes half closed, shakes her head)

I am wiped out... better call it a night, for real this time. See y'all tomorrow!

(Spins around on barstool, waves, loses her balance, falls off barstool, slinks out door into the night)[/i]

*M skips in....puts some coffee on to perk. Wipes a rag across the Bar. Notices some oranges......yum!*

An orange for breakfast sounds good! What's this stuff dripping out?
*peels one and eats it......eyes widen as she slides to the floor*

Ahhh... Good morning!!! Mmmm - I smell Coffee!

(Wanders over towards the coffee pot, trips over something on the floor...)

What the... Martiansky? Holding an orange... Hey, you, OK?

Takes partially eaten orange from her hand, takes a bite...)

ZOWIE!!! That's... strong...

(eyes cross, falls on the floor next to M, still holding the orange)

*M opens her eyes...which are still slightly crossed and glances around. Sees BBSue sitting on the floor next to her, holding the partially eaten orange*

WOW! What's in those things?! BBSue....are you....OK?

*Stands up shakily. Decides not to try to wake up BBSue since she seems to be dreaming happily. Pours two cups of coffee, sets one on the floor near BBSue and takes the other one and slowly walks over and sits down in her favorite chair near the fireplace which suddenly pops to life with a delightful crackle of flames. Sits and ponders the contents of the mysterious orange and sips the coffee*

*Robotland emerges from his pod hanging incongrously from a rafter long enough to deliver 2 cents*

I had a Czech ex whose brother made AMAZING boozemelons....Vodka and watermelon Schnapps, and he'd painstakingly carve just the outer, darker rind away in patterns parodying Ukrainian Easter eggs!

*He hooks a Red Stripe from the cooler and retreats to the pod, which closes wetly*

It will be more like work than play since it's maintenance on the Exhibits instead of developing and building the interactives like I was doing at the Historical Society but it's all good and is a hell of a lot better than a factory job or worse yet home depot.
