Indeed I did. That looks marvy!!! I'll be updating the web site real soon, and will include it.

I've been somewhat absent of late with travel- but back again. Much to report. Much going on.

Renegade Radio?

Post by Killbuck » Tue Apr 12, 2005 9:15 pm

Comrades-

The Black Rock Gazzette is apparently out of gas for 2005- the press has been silenced.

Is this an opportunity? Could a renegade FM radio station, secreted in Kamp APOKILIPTIKA take advantage of a panic-stricken poulation, fearing a power vaccum, and fill a void with diatribe, demmagoggery and disinfomation--- not to mention helpful PSAs, cereberal weather forcasts, nice music and a healthy dose of fear and loathing?

We have the technology... we can build it.... should we? Eh?

Not even an aluminum foil hat will protect the participants at that range.

This radio project is bigger than you may imagine.

We will now begin rationing playa dust based upon the individual needs of the people.

Rationing playa dust? No way! You can't do that! I won't have extra dust to wash off my car for weeks after the event, to shake out of my tent, and out of all my gear. My bike shop won't be wondering what the heck is that stuff that got deep into the bearings and helped them make $80 off me. You can't ration playa dust! It's an economic boon....think of all the people making cleaning supplies who won't have work because of this! Man...this is huge. You can't do it. Stop the insanity!

The APOKILIPTIKA website is going through a real dandy upgrade- still a cheapo geocities site... but much has been visually upgraded and NEW NEW stuff.

I'm trying to get things from the campmates added, and hope to have all links up and upgraded nlt Aril 22.

The link is below!!

Outstanding leadership there, Kernul. I am especially inspired by your new directive:

"We end the world, so YOU don't have to".

Oh, actually nothing new, just an old motto dredged up from the dustbin, I decided I liked again.

Say, our new radio tech is going to call you this eve- he has the concept for the radio station worked out. Great concept.

The Count

Post by Mister Jellyfish Mister » Fri Apr 15, 2005 10:08 pm

Just got off the phone with "The Count". He and I talked out some wonderful concepts and nailed down some details. He has a new concept that I will let him share with you that is very artistic and well require some revision of his original concept.

One of the things I will tell you about when we are fixing MiniMan on the slab on Sunday is the concept of "THE BUTTON". You see, if anyone can push THE BUTTON to end the world while standing in front of the radio station microphone, I ask you all, what would they say? What would you say? We may soon find out. More to follow...

Good News Comrades!
It looks like WTF 99.9 FM Burning Man Disinformation Radio is leaping the hurdles needed to become a diabolical REALITY.
This warms the pistons of this despot's heart, to say the least. This tool, as well as our intrepid DJ "Sandwichman", the science of captive Mr. Jellyfish, the twisted (but irresitable loveliness of) Nat and Goddess Kristy Kreme... then the intimidation flowing from Maniac's tower, the All seeing Eye of Alex, the Kharismatic Kantina leadership of Helitack...

shall I go on?

(no? Ok, then)

Kernul, you are ringing with true Dennis Hopper sardonic zeal. Shining like a new dime, and inspiring a throbbing wave of creativity and toil.

All I can say is I want nothing more than to work on this shit. I am so glad it discovered me before something banal like the game of golf.

Unfurl the colors!
Hold your oven mitts high!
Cry out your heart for the last time!

Golf can be fun when you play with people who are not to serious about it. I am a horrible golfer but by the third drink I really don't care how I play.

Well, "bad one" is a matter of opinion... as soon as Jelly posts the new one with the toilet, I'll post. It may not be bad, but it is a bit "disturbing."

Meanwhile, I offer this little number as a warm up:

We ALL need that bumper sticker.

Actually, if I had 1000, I'd love to go out in the middle of the night in Berkeley and stick it on 1000 cars.

Iso: Some critiques about your picture.
1: You forgot to add the paintball guns I intend to mount fore and aft for highway defense.
2: Where's the Arch wing? Those side fins are so 1950's slapped onto a 1970's body style...bleech. Make the arch wing go higher than the car so it's effective at the speeds I run...usually 110 or above. It needs clean air to work.
3: That car has insufficient ground clearance for Jungo without hydraulic suspension.
4: It doesn't have enough decals. A car isn't fast without more decals and stickers. Start with a big honkin MSD decal and go from there.
5: Where's the diamond plate body panel shielding and the flip-up steel mesh rock guards for the front and rear windows?
6: I use tri-Y afterburner pods to allow for maximum control on ice...centerline thrust is not always the best answer.
7: You forgot the US Dept of Homeland Security decals. (A major oversight, I can't believe you forgot that!)
8: Where's all the antennas? And the satellite dish? And the APU unit or at least the exhaust port for it?
9: I prefer a GM body so I can put a Hendrick motor sports Marine / tall deck bigblock in there so I have 700+ cubic inches of supercharged V-8 power.
10: Where's the hookup for the portable chemo adminstration device? I gotta have that.

Sheesh, I give out inspiration on the blog which he's obviously read as he's stolen content and cross-posted it without permission here....and he's really only skimming me...I've had some great ideas published on there. I'm crushed.

(Seriously thank you for giving me one of the best laughs I've had in months. Will I get to see you at Ranger training at BMHQ? I hope I can make it...I really want to have my training with the best Ranger out there!)
