Art Car Motors

My friends and I are trying to create an art car that looks like a ox-drawn covered wagon. Can anyone suggest any ideas in terms of small motors and drivetrains that could power a thing like that? I'm looking more at an original motorized creation than an "altered car" or anything like that, but I'm not sure where to start.

Is it just the cart, or a faux ox involved?

Whats your level of expertise in building up cars?

Making legs on oxen that actually pull an art car is non-trivial (but can and has been done at BM before). However, if you "don't know where to start", and it is almost May already, I would suggest that you either reduce the scope of your plan or give up for '05 and start working on '06 (art car registration deadline is in June..)

There have been many art cars that have powered wheels (say the wheels of the covered wagon), then have legs on animals up front that rotate to give the illusion that they are pulling the vehicle (although the legs do not actually touch the ground). This may be easier to pull off in a few month's time...
