a question for you mods...

I have a friend, a fellow 8 year veteran to Burning Man. She just graduated from travel agent school in Seattle and asked me about how she could go about helping to set up flights, trains, rental cars, hotel rooms for other burners. She ISN'T doing this to make money but rather save fellow burners their cash.

With that said, if it's allowed, where can she ad her email and other info for other traveling from overseas and other to contact her ?? Can she add it to this forum ?? To Jack rabbit Speaks ?? Or somewhere else ??

If she isn't allowed to do this do to policies or whatever...please give me a valid reason or your decision...and what you think she could to to help out others that might need her help without upsetting the powers above us (NO...not God...but people like Larry Harvey).

Since this gets asked a few times and some areas are grey, I think its a good place to post both potential violations and discuss them.

I also hope the policy gets to be a bit elastic to what the larger community thinks.

It'd seem that s/he's scouring the board for an easy piece. Basically asking that someone do their work for them. Ordinarily I'd light off into them but because this seems to break several rules of the board I'm passing it on to you folks to how best to handle it.

Its a good question, and it did strike me as inappropriate when I got the PM myself.

I already replied via PM, and then posted a reply comment on the board to check their PM's. Spamming like that via PM's is really, very dangerous, and this person obviously has not been on the board long or they would realize doing so is going to backfire.

Could you please tell me the best place to stay and use my RV for a meth lab? Some place with non-intrusive law enforcement?

I love taking my RV to burningman because its the best place to pick up victims.

For some reason my satellite transceiver does not get good downstream bandwidth at burningman. Since there is nothing to do there, could you suggest a better way to watch TV, play video games, and surf porn?

Burningman RV Tip: be sure to get plenty of rest, there is ample parking just off the side of the roads there, go ahead and try it.
