Have you ever seen the web page that describes how to have a virtual burning man in your house? I read it many times before I ever went out and it just fueled my desire to go. My favorite line was the last one.

Your new avatar made me think of it. Thanks.Have a 3 a.m. soul baring conversation with a drag nun in platforms, a crocodile, and Bugs Bunny. Be unable to tell if you're hallucinating. Lust after Bugs Bunny.

The current ones we're building are not full scale. Mine is true half scale and will be about 10 feet tall when done. The other two models that are being built are a bit taller, just because. We're building competing designs to see which is the easiest to build and still look like a dutch windmill. There will be 3 on the playa.

Well, it rained a little here today so you might want to beware. Sounds like fun though. I really need to get into something creative again.sputnik wrote:Pretty good. We have windmill building scheduled for tomorrow. I hope it doesn't rain. I've got a base done and need to work on the turret and blades tomorrow.
I really hope you can find a way to make it.
And I hope I can make it as well, but with each passing day it seems less likely. Plus there's more and more friction happening living with the rent's so it looks like I'm going to have to scoot as soon as a find a full time job. (sarcastic) great, just great (sarcastic) Oh, and I forgot, my mom is insisting that I help pay for a vacation that I don't even want to go on. Blah!

I sortof agree, but 3 different people had different ideas. We're building out of scrap, so it isn't a waste. We're going to use the half size models at a fundraiser in June and burn them then.Zulegoona wrote:Cool, competitive concept development is always the best way to come up with the best, It's just to bad you couldn't have come to a consensus without having to build the half scale models, seems like a lot of work and materials not going into the finished product .

we have only been married since last July... and no cash to go last year.sputnik wrote:Whoa, I'm really lagging behind today.
Beer up for Joel
So, you've convinced your wife to come along. Why hasn't she wanted to come before? What convinced her?
convinced her to go? begging, groveling, the usual married man methods.
and we haven't gotten there yet, so don't hold you breath.
