Tent Trailers at Burning man

I am looking at bring a tent trailer and I wonder if it is a good idea? It's new and I could add some supports-for high winds. Does anyone have any info, tips, tricks of opionions on this?

One drawback that I've noticed with popups, even at LESS dusty events, is that they fill up with dust if they have large open, meshed areas.... Super comfy otherwise! Maybe arrange to bring tarps/sheets/cool artwork-covered carvas windbreaks and park strategically, and you should be just fine.

One of our campmates has brought her pop-up for years, including last year (a wind & dusty year) no problems! for her it's just to sleep in at night gets pretty warm in the sun.

Yes I will have to cover the "tent" areas up pretty good-great place to do some artwork! I'm a little at ease now about it.

yeah, they're fine. i have one too and was a little scared the first year i took it, but it held up just fine. hard to keep clean tho

I've brought one twice, and this'll be my 3rd year with one. Way better than a tent, and cheaper than an RV.
The mesh windows should also zip closed to protect against dust. Rule of thumb, never leave the trailer with the windows unzipped. I dont think you need any extra support from the wind, I didn't and mine is from '79. Does get a little hot during the day, and you will find condensation on the canvas above your head in the morning if you dont have a window cracked. But you cant beat sleeping on a nice bed and mattress. It was good during the dust storms too, was able to cook and eat at the dining table. Some have a little fridge too which is nice, mine doesn't. And they're easy to tow compared to a large trailer.
I wouldn't have any worries bringing one out there. You'll be the envy of everyone with a tent.
