Freakin thing can see through walls but cant see through a silly license plate? Doesnt sound so farfetched though. I worked at a lab in the 80's that did interesting stuff with millimeter waves. You could see through smoke on a completely starless night like it was daylight. Imagine that ... overcast sky at night, no moon, and a smokescreen and it is like it is crystal clear broad daylight. And that was twenty years ago. I would imagine a modern application of that technology is something called Longbow but I wouldn't know for sure.

There's that smell again. It doesn't seem suspicious that the reporter didn't get to see the device work? or get to talk to anyone who did? Supposedly he's shown it to lots of credible scientists, but the article doesn't interview any of them? Why?Rabbi Dali Rick wrote:
Tell me this guy don't look like a burner. He comes up with all this really neat and amazing shit that drives the Scientest crazy. His latest gadget sees through walls and will stop engines, and and you know Alien Technology type shit. And he builds all his stuff with no plans no blueprints, or models, all this shit comes to him in his dreams.

Why hasn't anything about this appeared in a peer-reviewed journal? It couldn't possibly be because it's unmitigated Bullshit, could it?

That's OK. It was an inspiring read in the same way that I listen to Art Bell. Not for truths, but to just make me think. At it's worst, it's good science fiction in the disguise of news.Ranger Genius wrote:[quote="Rabbi Dali Rick

Actually, RG, what was described in the article is EXACTLY what commercial avionics manufacturers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are working on. It is a very broadband system including ultraviolet, infrared, visible, and microwave illumination. The microwave is particularly interesting to me. It is still called "radar" but what it really has is an array of receiving elements not unlike a camera CCD device. A DSP chip converts the received energy to visual information. Basically it is a "CCD camera" that works in the RF spectrum. Instead of photosensative collectors, they are tiny rf antennae. It can "see through" fog, smoke, rain, snow, and quite possibly gypsum board and plywood.
In the avionics version infrared and microwave are combined to create a "synthetic image" that is projected onto the inside of the cockpit window like a "heads up display". The automotive system is broader band. It includes ultraviolet light to cause reflective and phosphoric paints in highway markings to glow more brightly and be more visible to the operator. Infrared is useful in some low visibility situations such as fog and the microwave energy penetrates precipitation, dust, and smoke.
The concepts described in the article are neither farfetched nor groundbreaking. It has already been done. Industry is now working on making the technology smaller and cheaper so it can be deployed commercially. It is already deployed in military applications.

Yes, this is the same as lifting yourself by reaching around and grabbing your belt, then pulling up on it. Fore a real hoot, try using both hands to pull yourself up real fast!Last Real Burner wrote:I was just wondering..... What if you put a larger version of the superconducting maget under a 4 stroke engine would the effect produce a more effecient running engine? Since the magnets will negate the mass of the engine, it would not having to overcome it's own weight to produce power. Has this ever been tried I wonder. Sounds like a fun experiment on the Playa.
(just a note: would the displacement of self mass cause the engine to fly apart due to the flucuation in quantum cohesion?
Hey somebody hadda ask...

I do not remember my name.
That may be important, as I did create the earth as myth, a dream.
You are all within me, as I am within you,
except I chose once long ago to
see us as seperate.
So I spun & bobbed & tucked & rolled & decided
to be quite all alone until i was, though You always were
constant.
"Big Banged" an Effort at sleep,
to disturb peace at all.... to be away from You...
I planted this wild thought myself,
promising i were not There......
though always,
as the cell may not know tree
i am part of You

wanted

pass the bottle, Sensei
always I love you
